"Also, as a christian you need to be careful of what the mainstream christian movement determines is an acceptable identity in Christ" what do you mean by this? I'm probably not mainstream christian. though i don't know what it's views are. o.O Mainstream Christian movement tends to place a lot of ...

... though if I'm reading subtitles it can take my attention off what is happening visually in the video, especially forms of non-verbal communication. Watching for these subtleties is good practice for Aspies apparently, we can obsessively scrutinise the way that people present themselves without ...

The problem we have is that past experiences will create a thought pattern that pushes us out of the game mentally. If you look at your strengths you will find that the things you think make you weak are rather insignificant. Our problem though is that our weakness causes emotional turmoil which is ...

Hi. I live with just a cat. It's not my cat; it just comes around everyday for food and a place to sleep.

does anyone else feel like the only escape to freedom is death? If i wasn't christian(please don't turn this into a debate) and didn't believe in afterlife, I'd probably kill myself. this sh** is awful so going to nothing and not existing would be freedom. Way too familiar a feeling for me. :( I ha...

It does not necessarily constitute a lie when people that tell you that you are great. You cannot assume they perceive you the way you do. This took me a very long time to figure out. It still makes me feel awkward when I get a compliment, but I accept it graciously. If your analyze your behavior to...

I would think that we cannot change the way we process info, but we can change the way we communicate the info we have. I would have an issue with it if the reprogammed way of communication has no logic to it.

That actually becomes less tiring because it enables you to adapt more easily to different situations. The nature of a mask is to be static and unchanging; a shapeshifter can adjust to its environment. This is far less draining than the "mask." With practice, it can become second nature. ^^^^^ This...

When I was younger, I learned to be extremely plastic. I'm usually unsure of what is normal, so I assumed the other person was acting normally and adapted myself entirely round that. I have come to realise more recently that this is not a good thing. I think it has helped to have a fixed reference ...

I have a friend like that, he is NT. What I have found is we don't even have to hang out, even if he is proximity it is good. I also...
