I've played quite a few but Scarlet Hollow is #1 without question.

The first time I ate mushrooms something in my brain shifted. It was more than half my life ago, so I don't recall how it worked immediately, and I have no clue how those shifts have played things out differently for me over time, but something in my brain operated completely differently from that p...

Good advice in here for sure. I'd add that if the big picture life plan is not clear, it helps to break it down into sub-plans or sub-goals or whatever in some of which the objective might be more clear, and then pursue those as pieces of the overall puzzle. For example, what are your goals in terms...

I've been playing guitar for 25+ years and in that time have written only three songs that are formed enough to actually have names haha

I don't understand parody songs but I feel the topic for sure.

I'm married, it all works, but it's hard to hear point blank that a partner wouldn't go into business with you because I guess I couldn't handle it? It's not a huge deal but that concept makes me nervous bc I actually do plan on starting a business and working independently in a year or so, is there...

Maybe so, I socially relate mostly to younger people and intellectually rarely relate to anybody. It's all good, it is what it is, but it's an interesting concept for sure.

I'm not 100% but I think I feel you.

Most people get it when you tell them directly, like they don't entirely get it but they get it enough. I know that's little consolation but it's good to sometimes just let it rip, often better out of context than in it but it can work either way. At least for me it helps a situation a little just t...

There's nothing like 100 Years of Solitude haha that book is something else.

This may be a dumb answer, but if she hasn't read them, other Marquez books are the closest thing! Love in the Time of Cholera?

I was last on this forum like 10 years ago and stopped posting I guess bc I got sidetracked, it is what it is but I remembered the community here and wanted to say what's up.

This place was great and helped me through a lot of weird times back then, so just thought I'd take a peek.

So, hello there!

My "accommodation" growing up was getting berated by my parents anytime I didn't get an A  I swear to god one time I got chewed out for an A because the teacher made a note that, in addition to doing everything correctly, I was "disruptive" in class. The teacher's note was p...

Identify peoples' strengths, and especially if they contrast with your own weaknesses, emphasize those as the initial piece of integrating people into a departmental "team". In other words, let them help you, in addition to you helping them. And let it be known at every possible opportunit...

Wait, you can straight up major in "management"? Talk about someone I'd have REAL trouble respecting as any kind of leader. "I've got it under control guys, don't worry I have a background in MANAGEMENT". 99% of the time someone barking orders from above in something they'v...

I really like tattoos on women, although it's weird, "excessive" tattooing dampens it a bit. Like, I'd fantasize about diving across a conference table at a girl with a sleeve on one arm, but if it was both arms whatever but it kinda seems like you may be trying too hard. I know that's not...

Yeah, I'm slow if I have time to take. I don't have any pre-writing organizational skills to speak of, so it has to happen on the fly. Predictably, when I write it's a little disjointed, but the point is clear if the reader even remotely pays attention. From what I'm told I write pretty much how I t...
