Hi All, Finally, after months of due diligence on the substantial data file you all kindly provided me, I have some exciting results to share with you! If you indicated via the survey that you'd like to receive a copy of the report, you should have received it last Friday. If you did not get a copy ...

You're most welcome, Judith. I was frustrated myself at the lack of scientific information out there about Aspie sexuality and gender, so I hear ya! murasaki_ahiru, the blog actually belongs to a lovely lady by the name of Marita who has two girls on the spectrum, so I can't claim the blog as my own...

Thanks for your enthusiasm, Lauperino! Unfortunately, this survey is permanently closed, but there will future studies. I should be launching the next one in early 2013.

Hi OddFin, Thanks for asking. I am currently about three-quarters of the way through writing the preliminary report to send out to everyone. The data set was large and, as you know, I asked a whole bunch of questions, so it has been a sizable task to analyse it all. I really want it to be a detailed...

Some more about my motivation to do this study can be found on the following blog post: http://leechbabe.com/2011/08/25/guest-post-the-birds-and-the-bees-in-asd/ These are the final days of the survey Aspie people, so if you're at all keen to be part of Aspie sexual history in the making, please cli...

Thanks to everyone who has taken the survey and for those who have provided feedback too. Your input is really appreciated and I'm quite dismayed to hear that the survey comes across as biased in any way. As a queer woman, I was pretty determined for it not to come across as heteronormative and atte...

the "whys" are the only fundamentally important things in life, everything else is just window dressing. knowing the "whys" makes one wise, and wise people know why. Couldn't agree more! I never grew out of that stage where everything is answered with a, "...but why?" The next study will add...

all very pertinent questions. i often have been frustrated by the secretiveness/obtuseness/obliqueness of the few socially successful aspies on the WP forums, when i have asked about the secrets of their worldly success [IOW how do they so effortless persuade others to have sex with them, or how do...

So, are you saying that losing your virginity later in life, or in my case, not at all, a very bad and abnormal thing and that I am a waste of human flesh who will never ever be happy in life because of it and I SHOULD'T EVEN EXIST?! !!? WELL JUST BECAUSE THE REST OF THE WORLD THINKS IT IS AND I AM...

Hi Rose, thanks for your feedback. The dating section does actually ask in the instructions for those who are not currently dating to think back to a time when you were dating. So long as you chose options that were typical of you, it's OK. The aim is to get a large enough sample that it won't matte...

your bloody questionaire is like 100 pages long for freaks sake and some of the questions have really poor answer choices. You might want to stick a "only 80 pages left" note in there. i gave up after what felt like 50. Thanks for your feedback, Oddfiction, and for checking out the survey. If you d...

Hi everyone, I'd like to know the reason behind many Aspie's difficulty with establishing a meaningful relationship with their partner of choice. Do men with AS 'suffer' more from this lack of connection? Is it our face blindness and/or issues with reading body cues that prevents us from picking up ...

Wow! That's a loooong survey! Might be useful to give an indication of how long it would take to complete? or how many questions there are? We considered it straightfairy, but decided that in a survey this long it could actually work against us. Here's the link to info about the researchon Tony's w...

Please take a look and consider doing the survey. As I understand the subject of statistical analysis, getting meaningful results from a survey depends very heavily on your samples being truly random. Otherwise, your results are merely anecdotal and cannot be used to draw any useful conclusions. Am...

Great question, hurtloam! Actually, I find that NTs routinely show a lack of both Theory of Mind and empathy, ironically enough. 8O I guess when you remember that everyone possesses Autistic traits, it fails to be a shock that either NTs periodically act that way, or that supposedly ASD or NT people...
