Starting hockey at age 20, you will not be able to play college hockey. The guys who try out for those teams have been playing hockey for 10-15 years already and it's completely unreasonable to think that you can catch up in just a few years. That said, just do whatever you love. If you think playin...

I'm 16 years old and got my license about a month ago. I don't have any problems with driving/ getting distracted. I was in a small accident when I had my learner's permit, I was rear-ended at a red light and was bit nervous on the road for a few weeks.

I guess I'm pretty close with both of my parents, but in different ways. With my mom, she treats me like a kid, but she's the best person to talk to if I have a problem, or if I'm trying to figure something out. My dad is more like a friend, he coaches my soccer team, takes me on vacations etc.

I've asked my brother about this, he goes to my school and is NT, and he said that I definitely fit in.

I wear popular clothing brands, cool sneakers, I play sports and go to parties. But, I'm never the life of the party, the captain of the sports team or voted "best dressed".

Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: Are there many AS who have had a relatively normal childhood

I'm only 15, but I think I had a pretty normal childhood. When I was younger (until I was about 10), I had some really good friends from my neighborhood, and they were all friends with my brothers and I. In school, I didn't get picked on or anything, and I was always included and people generally li...

I'm in the minority of aspies, but I'm actually really good at sports. I'm only 15 though, and I've played sports since I was really young. I play soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball and I run track. I also did competitive swimming for a few years. Soccer is my best sport, and I made the varsity te...

I'm very competitive, in almost everything I do. I think it's because my dad is really competitive, and I've always been competitive with my brothers. I play soccer, basketball and tennis. In soccer and basketball, I'm competitive, because I want to do well for my team. In tennis, I'm a little less ...

This summer, I've been coaching soccer camps for kids ages 5-12. So, it's very different, but I still had to get and maintain control over a group of kids. I know you feel that you're not much older than these kids, and I felt the same way when I started because I'm only 15 and some of the kids are ...

I scored pretty well: 130.

However, I'm 15 years old, and this test is designed for adults, so my score isn't really accurate. I've never had a real IQ test done, but the ones I've done online usually score me somewhere between 135 and 145.

I hate crowds, if it's people I don't know. If I'm with someone I know (one of my parents, brothers or one of my close friends), then I can handle it, no problem.

I stim mostly when I'm in a crowd. If I'm standing up in a crowded room I rub my hands together, or I rub my right hand on my left forearm. If I'm sitting down, like in class, I rub my hands on my lower legs.

I do stim a little at home, mostly the same as in public, but I hum sometimes too.

Peux is not pronounced like Poo or Pew. I'm not sure how to explain how to pronounce it, but you can hear it in that youtube video. Learning a language on your own is hard, so if it's at all possible, try getting at least a few French, or at least try to talk to someone who speaks French every once ...
