I would donate AT LEAST half of it. One hundred million is more than enough for any greedy person.
With the rest I would buy a house in the country, set up a trust fund for my children and spoil my parents.

Or would you rather live a rich normal life free of autism, enjoying the fruits of true human relationships, school, and being connected with life and insteead of being connected with yourself / ourselves all the time?. I would argue that I have a rich life, enjoy "true" relationships and school be...

Probably around 200. If you were to ask how many new books I read then it would be significantly less. I like to re-read my favourites again and again. I just love the smell of old books. I have quite a few first editions and like picking up more at book fairs. I love Jane Austen and have just finis...

Do you ever mix up what you have said and what you were planning to say? If texting or emailing someone, I usually put a lot of thought into my replies and what I'm going to say next. I practice the conversation in my head many times and will sometimes sleep on it before replying. Sometimes I rehear...

I have simply become a "crowd pleaser" as my doctor put it. I'm actually feeling very sad over some of her comments. She said that I've become so obsessed with fitting in that I've completely smothered my personality. I've spent so long pretending and trying to survive that I no longer know who I am...

A side note, I may have misunderstood (I'm fairly new to the Aspergian world, as my son was relatively recenty diagnosed) but I had heard that one of the "symptoms" of AS is a lack of imagination, which doesn't seem to be the case. It seems like Benny and George both are indications of his creativi...

My son does this too. He found the loophole pretty quickly about talking back to mum! I'm both annoyed and highly impressed with him lol. The other thing he does is to insult people by giving them another name. Me. Five minutes left on the computer and then we're going out Him. Grr that Gwen really ...

My eldest son is five and he doesn't seem to know what dreams are. When he wakes up in the morning I always give him a big kiss and a hug and ask him if he had good dreams but he'll just tell me about the last cartoon or film he watched. One time we'd got home late from a day out so he didn't get hi...

Interesting post. I've recently started a meetup group in my hometown for this very purpose. It seems there are groups for autistic people or groups for parents of autistic children. I've started a group for both so we can all learn from each other. It only has five members so far and the first meet...

Another thing my cat does in the morning when he wants me to feed him is to open his mouth but not maiow at all - the impression I'm supposed to receive being that he's so weak from hunger he can't even speak! This despite the fact that I feed him twice a day and that he's a very healthy weight. Lo...

What songs or artists calm you when you feel upset?
Neil Young is always my best friend when I'm a bit blue. It feels like musical hugs to me. The sound of the harmonica lets me have a little weep and feel better afterwards.

That sounds just like my mother a self proclaimed autism expert, when I told her about my AS she said 'well how come I never noticed anything?' I told her it's because she's blind to everything but her own ego. I notice you're diagnosed Trystania, your job is safe due to the recent change in disabi...

Just thought I'd add a little rant to get it off my chest. No-one at college knows I'm an aspie for reasons I've already mentioned. I have to sit there and listen to my tutor who thinks of herself as "good with autistics" talk absolute rubbish! I really feel like butting in sometimes and correcting ...

Gusmom, your description matched my son's behaviour at that age. It could have been written about my son! I too had to really dig deep to find out about his day at nursery. He is 5 years old now and has come on in leaps and bounds. He's inquisitive, talkative and very affectionate. He had speech the...

I don't see it as faking it, I just think of it as being private. No-one else would tell a co-worker their entire life story so why should I? Almost everyone puts on an act in one way or another. I do not disclose my AS because I believe it would hinder my career. What school would employ an autisti...
