The NHS may be free, but medication isn't, and nor is care for some. If a person genuinely can't work or has difficulty getting themselves into a position to work, they need some means of living. This is what the disability allowance should provide. The £25/week is the regular jobseeker's allowance,...

Sorry to quote from way back, but I thought it was pretty interesting... Women with aspergers are more likely to be androgynous, so there's definitely something going on with gender. BBC article: Male sex hormone testosterone 'interferes with empathy' I know people give hundreds of reasons for why p...

The new UK government are putting a new system into place to replace Disability Living Allowance. This new system however seems to rely on a shocking new test which misses a lot of major problems. The government themselves have admitted (see the Guardian article below) that the test is weakest when ...

The most obsessive Musers I have met tend to be either in their mid 20s or 40+. There are about forty of us who routinely meet queueing up for gigs around the world, and a lot of them are older.

Knights of Cydonia by Muse! Not only is it absolutely fabulous, but the intro lasts a good two minutes.

My favourites are L'Uomo Dell'armonica (Man With A Harmonica), Per Qualche Dollaro In Piu (For A Few Dollars More) and Il Tramonto (The Sunset).

I LOVE Morricone!

In my experience (of people on the Muse messageboards and those who queue up with me at 5am to see them) a lot of Musers are very obsessive. If there's ever a poll on NME for instance, Muse will win it simply because all the Muse fans will sit there for three days voting over and over again. And I d...

Is there anyone else on here who is obsessed with the band Muse?

I am, and I find that all the Muse fans I know are particularly obsessive. Much more obsessive than fans of other bands.

It's made me wonder if there are many Aspie Musers!

Sorry about the delay in replying, I've been away! My mum tends to take the stance 'you're an adult, deal with her yourself'. If I make a big fuss she eventually intervenes, but usually not before. I find it very difficult to deal with her myself (as I am sure you have gathered from the original pos...

Okay, she started doing it again after less than a day. And when I reminded her, she said that I never said anything about her not touching me, and that it was a 'funny conversation' not a serious one because she was laughing at me when I was explaining it. I can see that the control issue might pla...

I am not sure if it is out of affection or deliberately to annoy me. In the past when I have tried removing myself from the situation, she has got very confrontational about it and then acted as if she 'won' by me leaving. I have had a conversation with her about it today and she laughed at me a lot...

I am trying to become a fine artist. All my art is very good, I know this, and I have no problems with the technical part of the job, but I am really struggling to become known and make sales at this stage of my career. I have been invited to exhibit in various different places, but the difficult pa...

I will try that. Hopefully it will work. The thing is, she must know that it upsets me - I've told her so many times!

I have a sister who is twelve. She is eight years younger than me and NT. She knows that I'm an Aspie and that I really hate being touched, but she touches me all the time. I really hate it. And it isn't just that she comes over and puts her hand on my arm or something (which I would hate, but would...
