I have a question also. What do you recommend having as far as computer skills go?

I've actually heard a lot of GOOD things about the profession. melissa17b here is actually an actuary and describes the profession in a much more positive light. http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt129311.html just_some_guy_dave also has a point here about it depending on where you work. I myself am not...

I'm getting an AAS in accounting then transfering to a four year university to get my degree in actuarial science and economics (that's one degree) so my degree will be technically both mathematics and economics.

What can I say, math does it for me.

I'm looking to get a degree in actuarial studies and economics myself. I haven't been this excited since I learned that equations could have multiple variables!

I'm an accounting major so I was wondering about this. I love the actual hands-on stuff I do for my classes (I've learned I'm even more of a hands-on learner than a visual one!) but I worry about my abysmal (but maybe getting better, I have no way to tell, I work around techies all day) social skill...

I have a lot of stims myself. My most common are rocking, grinding my teeth (very bad for me, I was told at the age of 23 that I had the tooth wear of a forty year old), popping my joints (also very bad for me, I have joint problems), and chewing on my shirt collars (bad for my shirts). I also did q...

Oh yes. I have a general fear that if nothing is wrong something is going to go massively wrong too. I associate that less with being autistic and more with years of abuse, anxiety and depression though.

I sleep 7-8 hours a night and take a nap when I can. I'd like more naps because my daytime sleep seems to help regulate how well I cope with different things. I'm tired pretty often too.

As a non-driver at 27 living in a city, I'd have to say all the time. I can't stand living without it. I've tried.

You might be an Aspie if you have the tendency to do the same activity, or listen to the same song, over and over and over again for days on end. oh, that is definitely me! If you know far more about computers than anyone at best buy, but you interview too poorly to get hired there. that too, i gen...

a friend invites you over and the first thing you do is notice their cute fluffy kitty cat, walk over to where it's sitting and start a conversation with it while the friend stands in the center of the room looking confused. Oh that would be me! I have gone to friends' houses and went straight to t...

YMBAAI...you get annoyed because breaking out your laptop or a book in certain company is considered rude, even if the conversation is boring and you are required to be there.
