I started aikido about 5 months ago and I really enjoy it. I have my 6th kyu test tomorrow- I'm hoping I remember everything and don't blank out! The extra cool thing is that I started aikido because the dojo ran an intro class for GLBT folks so I have found a comfortable and safe space to practice ...

I'm trans - FTM and have NLD. I do find it easier to connect with other 'spectrumy' folks than with most NT transguys I've met at groups. But I have found the limited interaction in the group, once a month or so to be just enough to work for me around transgender issues that come up. We just don't h...

YMBAAI instead of baking a cake on your birthday, your friends give you a big bowl of M&Ms, because sorting the colors makes you happy. Additionally, YMBAAI the sorting system is not just separating out the colors into 6 piles and instead involves patterns and permutations that you can't explain...

I found it really helpful to use a whiteboard and multiple colors- I'd map a concept out, or draw some sort of diagram, or just reorganize my notes so that I could see them on the board. Something abut seeing things in bigger scale than on paper and the kinesthetic part of writing/drawing helped me ...

I work for a social services agency that serves homeless/at-risk youth. I'm staff at one of our transitional living programs, helping youth 18-22 years old learn life skills they will need to eventually move into fully independent living situations. I really enjoy my job, though it can be stressful ...

My room is so narrow that I can only just barely squeeze my twin sized mattress in cross-wise. No room to the bedframe. It's pretty much a large walk-in closet with a window at the end.

Cool, thanks for the link. I'm forcing myself to wait until tonight to check it out or else I won't get anything done the rest of the day.

I was a scrummy. Started as a 2nd row in my first season and finished up my last 3 seasons as a tighthead prop. Played flanker on a couple occasions.

I used to play rugby in college. I would love to watch it, but I live in the US and it is rarely ever on TV (at least it's not on cable I can afford, I'm sure there are super premium channels that have it). Any suggestions on websites where I could catch a full game? Youtube has some great clips, bu...

I'd team up with my buddy, who is a walking compendium of zombie related information. I'd be the muscle/practical survival guy. I'd have a few guns and plenty of ammo. And a few hockey sticks- I've decided that these may be the best close-range weapons since they're light and sharp and could definit...

I find that I often miss big chunks of the plot in movies. When something isn't acted out I tend to miss it, but even more problematic for me is when there is no narration or dialogue to cue me in- then I might miss what's going on even if it is acted out. Like Callista , I am much better at decodin...
