I do not base my wanting to clean up the environment on Global Warming. I remember visiting the California coast when I was a kid and finding oil covered seagulls on the beach. I remember them dusting the beaches with DDT. My hometown used the local river as the city dump. We used to draw pictures i...

Odd . . . given that the War in the mid-East is still going on that it would count as WWIII. Or does this kind of event need to include 3-4 "first-world nations" to have the WW title? The war(s) going on are not wide spread enough to count as world war. A world war has to be fought on several conti...

Pardon me sir, but some of us don't listen to AM radio, and do our own research and come to our own conclusions based on tangible things like a person's voting record and their statements and speeches, or in this case the things their attorney general has said. Thank gawd there are some out there t...

On a side note, it was Obama who signed into law allowing firearms in National Parks. It's amazing that people do the chicken little dance because of something a nut on AM radio spouts off. From what I seen Obama is not this Anti-Christ, Muslim, socialist, foreigner, that is out to turn the US into ...

All my vehicles have more than 150k miles on them. I have a 1998 Plymouth Breeze, 1988 Chevy P/U, and am restoring a 1981 Honda Prelude. http://joshportal.com/images/crappy%20car.jpg I have never owned a new car, always buying used. So I never had to deal with car payments. :)

Everything is smoke and mirrors to keep us apart. As long as there is an us vs. them attitude.. those who do stand up will be brushed aside as kooks (right or left wing extremist) Heck we can even call out the National Guard to lock the "kooks" up. I think Obama is a one term President.. he will get...

Interesting thread. Every person I loved, I still love to this day. I can think of lots of people I love, but not one that I hate. Love is a forever term for me. My love for a person has no conditions, my interaction with them does. So I am a believer in unconditional love. I will love my wife until...

When I was younger I would be silent or talk your ears off.. changing topics every 30 seconds. After years of putting my foot in my mouth, I tend not to talk much.

Why limit it to your area? Sometimes is good to move to a new town and get a fresh start.

Stick with a Government job, just apply for different ones. Unless you work for California, it's basically no risk switching jobs in the Gov. If you don't pass trial service in your new job, your old one will be waiting for you. If you keep working for "the man" you can keep your ever shrinking bene...
