My grandfather. He drones on and on about family history, himself, his sporting activities and things of little interest to anyone else. He rarely asks how anyone else is doing, and often makes rude comments, appaerntly unintended (such as being a house guest, and telling his daughter in law "Next t...

The mix up happens more during overload type moments, when I am asked questions at work and i know what to say but I can't get it out. Then I mix part of words or say the words in the wrong part of a sentence...no tips on dealing with this. Perhaps i need to slow down (but then when I slow down I wa...

For me it may be lack of sleep, but really boring things trigger it, and I fall asleep when I really shouldn't. Example include in conference call with boss, in meetings, watching court (I was working there on an internship, and I think the judge saw me sleeping), work, and movies (even Borat!).I tr...

High fives. NOT a fan. Often NT friends will have their hands out, and I will have no idea why. And then when I finally realize, I will wonder "and what was that for?".

Driving is generally fine, but I will get bored on long boring stretches of road and become very sleepy. Also, I don't like talking when I'm driving. I find it hard to focus on the road and focus on a conversation. Sometimes saying "turn down the heat" is enough to get me distracted.

If anything I would have felt good about such a thing because maybe it would mean time away from school...I wouldn't feel bad.

Perhaps they have good memories associated with the school or something.

I think your response is appropriate.

I have the most trouble when people die, I'm not sad and it's all fake. And then when someone in a friend's life dies, I find it hard to be understanding or comforting. For gifts, if it's something I really like then I am excited, but it's all about greed. And selfishly, it is all about me (say on m...

I'm able to overcare about some stuff. For example, with my co-workers, I try to remember a few areas that each of them like to talk about that are safe for me to ask about (kids, kids sports, travelling). However, when something new comes up, and is especially emotional, I have no idea of what to d...

I met one guy in group therapy! We only went out a couple of times. But at least we knew each others problems (well, I didn't know about AS then). The next bf I met in the campus bar. I was very drunk, so was he, we went back to his place, and then it lasted 9 years. Looking back, I think he has som...

No one ever thought that there was a problem because I was generally so well behaved and quiet and did well at school. So what was there for the teacher to comment about? Problems only started when I was bullied on a sports team, although she was known as a bully so I essentially had permission (fro...

Tax law. More logic than accounting, lots of problem solving. The only problem is dealing with people but some of our clients expect us to be egg heads. And of course making it through 3 years of law school with some really weird NTs.

Otherwise, accounting or actuary.

For the most part I appeared very quiet and meek, as I didn't want to upset anyone. I hid in the background and kept quiet.

I need the closeness and softness too. It is hard to sleep without them. Right now I have a pink cat and a little reindeer. I used to have more...they are like my children. But the other ones are from my ex-boyfriend and it was a battle with my family because they made me give them up because they w...

It seems weird, either looking to pick up or for cleaning/cooking. Or maybe he is really clean/tidy and assumes that female roommates will be the same?
