My wife is incredible; everyone loves her to death, which sort of makes me a celebrity spouse, so they love me too. I have a 100 potential friends, and I don't do anything with any of them. My wife can really light up a room and she is more or less my seeing eye dog at 'social' events. I previously...

In my experience Germans tend to demonstrate more Autistic traits than any other culture I have been exposed to.

They seem to be rather rigid and mechanical thinkers, always looking for the distilled facts, to the exclusion of 'social' interaction.

I'm not a 'team player' and never have been. The issue for me is not sticking together with other Aspies, it is sticking together with ANYONE. Social media allows me to connect with a wide range of people, on and off the Autism/Neurodiversity spectrums and it works well for me. Outside of social med...

It didn't work for me. But give it a try--maybe it'll work for you. Being a non-stimulant, it has the benefit of not having the typical stimulant side effects--you know, loss of appetite, being more tense, racing heartbeat, all that stuff. For me, on stimulants, those went away within a week; but I...

I was prescribed it years ago, like most meds I didn't notice a difference Strattera hit me like a freight train on Tuesday when I first took it. Just 25mg. - Calmness but at the same time alertness and focus, quite different to Lexapro or Valium. I didn't feel anything like the same effect for the...

I cut down my coffee intake drastically last week. I was probably drinking the equivalent of 15 cups of coffee a day too. I now know why I was drinking so much of it - it causes the release of dopamine in the brain and I have ADHD. I have now been prescribed Strattera for my ADHD so I am now down to...

I set up my own business in part because I really can't function as an 'employee' - I find the never ending elaborate costume party required more effort than the job I was employed to do. I don't suffer fools gladly, if at all and I am simply not a 'team player'. Having my own business means I can d...

Valium (on prescription) is quite good for turning down the noise. I have recently been prescribed Strattera for my ADHD and that does quite a good job of turning down the noise and creating a real feeling of calm

Competitive swimmer at school, before moving over to running in my teens. Started lifting around the same time. Now mostly cycle on my road bike and do enough resistance training to keep my upper body toned. I'm a classic mesomorph, which made things easier for me.
