Yes. I feel "movement" in my brain all the time, and it creates "traffic jams" and makes it hard to navigate, and I get sensory overload. It's like things in the environment, especially movement, form electric ripples in my brain. Sounds also do this... If I'm outside all day, it gets painful and I ...

Hello fellow Canadian, I think that you should take a "small step backwards" and observe whether YOU THINK you have become "normal", or whether the people that have come to know you have adapted to treat you as normal. It is possible that you were miss-diagnosed, but it's also possible that you don'...

Odd. "Gambling, sex, Asperger’s and my twin con-man brother" http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/toronto/gambling-sex-aspergers-and-my-twin-con-man-brother/article1268907/ I hope this guy isn't "blaming" his manipulative crimes on the fact that he "believes" he has AS. As well, I find it ha...

I have had bad insomnia for a long time. I used to take seroquel but I stopped because I was worried about developing side effects (its also used as an anti-psychotic) but it worked SO NICELY. It was like putting a nice little blanket in my brain, and I would wake up feeling great. So I would sugges...

Wow, this thread has got a bit long... How do we know that we have always been the minority? Also, I wonder whether autism occurs in other species apart from humans? I suspect that it probably does? I remember reading Jane Goodall talking about a chimpanzee that displayed autistic traits. Such as s...

Evolution is a "blind" process. It doesn't decide to experiment or make a better version of something. The only way a trait can be selected for is if it benifits either the individual OR the groups reproductive rate. For example some species kill themselves defending others, called altruism. They do...

There is no natural rule that says people in the south should be less well off. If genetics were identical, they should actually be better of because of a more productive echo-system. Additionally, if the OoA (out-of Africa) were correct, Africans should have higher diversity and more successful di...

Basically, what you wrote makes NO sense. You need to take Anthropology and Biology 101 because you seem to not understand the basic principles of either. One important thing- You are confusing culture with race at some point, which have no correlation to each other. It has been proven many times ov...

I HIGHLY recommend this show.

The last season deals with an interesting plotline that concerns a kind of "cure" for Asperger's.
I'm disappointed that this show is over.

Use http://www.ovguide.com to find it. There are also torrents for all seasons if you use them.

I read the first book, and found the writing to be dull and flat. The TV characters are much more enjoyable. I'm very impressed that this series turned out so well!! !! ! I have been a vampire genre fan for a long time. Sadly, there haven't been many good Vampire TV shows/movies until True Blood. Di...

YES, really bad sense of direction. It's taken a lot of work to orient myself in this city. Especially downtown, with all the traffic and people, my mind gets overloaded and I barely have enough brains left over to walk straight and not get run over, let alone find my way around. The Answer: Handhel...

Try one of those big excercise bouncy ball things, its relaxing and burns some calories! Some people use those instead of a regular chair at a desk to tone their body, then you can bounce/roll/stim all day. If it is uncomfortable for your back, there is a special chair you can get that has a holder ...

I constantly clench my jaw in rythm, especially when I see lines.
It helps me tell me "where my head is floating in space".
Got teased for that in school.
I also play with my facial piercings...
Constantly twist my fingers around and write in the air what people are saying.

Yay! Glad others liked them. It's worthwhile to visit their page and watch ALL their videos. There are so many GEMS in there if you like this type of comedy. Way better than SNL, Mad TV, and other mainstream TV crapolla. Onion Youtube (But, can be very UN-PC, so if you like things to be PC, then I g...

I can't believe the extent of callous cruelty evident in some people. It doesn't specify if these were the PARENTS of the child. I hope that these people were NOT the parents, and this child has people that will love and appreciate him, instead of him ending up in Foster care which would be extremel...

Horrifying. I have been to Grand Forks- it's such a "normal" small town. I'm worried that this murder is being blamed on the woman being bi-polar... which will bring more stigma to people with mental health issues. There are so many comments from people in BC on news sites saying people with mental ...
