I am alright at poker. I do not play the game much, though. I have had people tell me that I have a good poker face, probably because I do not make a lot of facial expressions . |

It depends. If there are a lot of people around, in a mall for an example, and I do not feel like I have to socialize with the people around me, I can feel calm and not nervous. If there is a group of people coming my direction, I can feel nervous just by looking at them because I feel like I have m...

I have met other aspies in group meetings. We had discussions, and it was good. However, I did not consider them my friends. I just thought of them as people I knew and had things in common with. Also, I can't tell if I would have better friendships with aspies than NTs. I have had NT friends, who I...

Starkid, I agree on a lot about what you write. I just think that it is good to socialize sometimes, even if it is not as much as NT's. To me, it does not matter if someone does not have good social skills because that is just how they are. I think it is a good idea to socialize a little, just to be...

Stargazer43, what you say makes a lot of sense. I have not really thought of that for a reason for not making much friends. Thanks for the insight. Now that I think of it more, what you say does seem like it has an impact on my life. |

fibonaccispiral777, what you wrote does not seem like gibberish to me. It makes sense to me, and it does seem intelligent. It seems like someone would need to put a little thinking in to understand you, though.

My earliest memories were when I was about four years old. I think I remember living with people who were not related to me. Also, I remember a specific time I was in preschool at that age. Those are my earliest memories that I can think of.

I agree that things are simplified in cartoons, such as emotional expressions. I like that. I am not sure I would want to see all of that emotion in real life, though. It just seems unnecessary or too much. However, it would make it easier for me to see how people feel about things. That would be go...

I love seeing details, even in every day life. It seems like other people do not notice them very much, while I can see them when not even trying. Examples are spiders crawling on spiderwebs and the little details of how mosquitoes look (they creep me out). I like being able to see the details in ar...

I just put up with their pet. I might say "no" if their pet is doing something that I do not like. I also try to get along with their pet.

To "not let it bother you" is not the solution. It is best to keep trying to get better, socially. It would not hurt to think about your own shortcomings in social situations. Just think about it, and try to do better in your next social encounter.

Escapist, you have some good ideas. However, I own a scooter, and I have a feeling that the one about the liquid in the helmet would not go over too well. Industries would probably think that helmets are good enough the way they are right now, considering safety. I really do think that your seat bel...

Yea, it amazes me on how neurotypicals are able to say certain things in conversations. They talk well in their conversations. However, it seems to me they are talking about something that was hardly related to what they were saying in the first place. I do not know how they can keep the conversatio...
