This happens to me all the time with handheld electronics. I spend a lot of time cleaning the screen of my 3DS only to have it eventually get a small scratch on the touch screen. Barely noticeable but drives me crazy knowing it's there. One time I went to the beach with my mother and she told me to ...

Congratulations on your discovery. I believe you're trying to describe how you're able to separate your 'self' from your emotions and impulses, analyse them and exercise your freedom to choose them. To control them. At least that's what I feel self awareness is.

Outwardly, I'm getting older but inside I still feel like a gawky teenager. My chronological age is much more than my emotional age. Inside I feel like I'm stuck at 13 or 15, and get surprised when I realise I'm driving a car or hear my adult voice. Some days feel like I'm the main character in the...

At least I'm not alone with this problem. Maybe I just need more practice with the telephone. Even when I know a phone call is important I keep putting it off. It's the same kind of thing with Skype (I don't really use it at all now). When my friends showed it to me I thought the computer was talking.

Although I've gotten a little better at this over the years, it's still a problem for me. I can't see the person's face so I don't know how to respond. Usually I have to plan a whole speech out before I make a phone call. If the call doesn't go as planned I have to think up a new speech while talkin...

Maybe the diploma at the end will be worth it. No one will employ someone without a diploma, right? It depends on what field of work you want to get into. If you REALLY can't tolerate college and are at the end of your rope, then maybe dropping out is best. However, if you've spent 4 years working ...

For me, high school sucked but everything got SO much better in college. They give you the freedom to organize your own life. Some of my teachers were really funny and I even had days with no classes!
Also NO BULLIES! |

Just today I answered a call for my mother (who was out) and forgot to get the person's name (the person on the phone was talking so fast I couldn't remember their name when they said it), but told them that this was my mother's residential phone number. The person on the phone then said they knew m...

I'm having the same problem. My trouble is the field I'm experienced in (visual arts and graphic design) is a severely specialized field where a lot of people are self employed. I really want to go work somewhere that has a shop front or office because it's not healthy for me to work at home in isol...

I went away for a short trip on the weekend. Haven't been able to get online for a few days. Right now I believe I do have to live with my parents. Houses are incredibly expensive at the moment and I'm still not prepared to move into my own home. I don't have a full time job. I do agree with what yo...

I don't know if I'm a terrible person for thinking this way, but sometimes I feel I may hate my own father. It's something I've tried to put up with for years, but I keep getting more and more annoyed by his presence in my house. He NEVER cleans up after himself (and always leaves a mess, which gets...

It's not your dad's fault, or your great gran dads fault. No one can take responsibility for their genes. You want to blame someone blame God. And if you don't believe in him......awesome. You're right about that. Luckily I don't physically go up to my dad and blame him. Yes, it is genetic, but it ...

Just a thought. I've been diagnosed with aspergers syndrome, and my father was diagnosed with aspergers syndrome. My father was also diagnosed with obsessive compulsion. Sometimes when being aspergers goes wrong for me, I just think "Thanks Dad. Thanks for making me socially disabled", and then I th...

Here's what happened. Yesterday I found one of my friends had invited me to her 21st birthday party on Facebook. I panicked because I thought it was tonight (Saturday) when I read the start time. My social skills, even online are really bad, and I forgot to RSVP. Only late last night did I remember ...

I find Christmas shopping difficult, mostly because I don't know what to get people. Usually I make it easier for everyone else by making a Christmas list and suggest everyone else in the family do the same but then they don't do it and I'm the only one that's easy to buy for. So I'm left searching ...

I like the Simpsons, but I like the older episodes better. Now it seems they're running out of ideas and putting random things into the episodes. Hmm...My fave character. Don't think I have a favorite. I really love Homer and the trouble he gets in, and then when Marge has to clean up the mess. Some...
