I work in IT and of the 40 people in my department, I can think of two obvious aspies, plus myself, and a number of people who might be. I'd say 1 in 10 is about right. |

btw, if you want to see the (usually-hidden) structure of a UNIX directory, try "cat /path/ | xxd". (This does NOT work on Linux, definitely works on AIX, not sure about others.) |

The xxd utility is similar.
It's not useless; it's extremely useful for reading data containing non-ASCII content, such as HL7 messages. |
