Here's the thing about the whole self-diagnosis issue though... Don't you need to do it to some extent to know you need to see a doctor anyway? In terms of mental or neurological issues, I mean. For example, if you're feeling really down for a significant amount of time you'd need to think you have ...

Artists who can't make an album without bragging are being arrogant and absurd. I write rap songs all the time and grew out of braggadocio stylings about a year ago. I'm only 17 and can already tell that bragging means the artists are insecure and feels like they always has to prove something. Agai...

*sigh*

Arguments between "real" and "fake" [insert absolutely any genre of music here] are all pathetic. Music is subjective and people have different tastes, claiming your taste is better because it's "real" is arrogant and absurd.

I wouldn't mind trying it out (money is money) but my friend works at McDonald's and hates it - she gets a lot of unappreciative rude customers who make her day miserable. Obviously this could be different at different chains and different locations though and I hope you enjoy your job :)

Good.

People who naively think that it's somehow a bad thing that money is still being made in a bad economy by those who actually create the jobs for everyone else should watch this:

1) This thread is in the wrong section

2) Though fun, that test is extremely inaccurate

If you've done a good bit of research and you feel that a specific diagnosis fits you, by all means, tell your doctor. The only reason I ended up with an official diagnosis of OCD is because I sought help for OCD specifically. I KNEW that I had OCD after lots of self-researching. I find this intere...

Interesting. So an Aspie who has phases of feeling euphoric and gaining different obsessions whenever this happens, but the losing interest in those obsessions when they become depressed, may possibly be bipolar?

The law could have worked if it's merely a an amendment to a law on harassment. It's illegal to harass people in real life, so why not make it illegal to harass people via social networking sites where they have real names? What they needed to do is to separate internet forum trolling from social n...

...Between a depressed Aspie with an obsession and a bipolar Aspie in a (hypo)manic phase?

I'm quite curious about this one. How would you tell the difference? There seems to be a little overlap.

Technically, those bad motor skills are dyspraxia. It's very commonly comorbid with AS but it is a separate condition.

TBH the ICD-10 is a better diagnostic manual anyway, it's the one the rest of the world uses. America just messes stuff up.
