| thanks to both of you. I love your ideas for stopping bullying. I like the personal way you share your experience from your own childhood with kids who are bullying. Maybe I am naive but I like to believe that most bullies don't actually want to hurt anyone- they just think they are being funny. You... |

| I am not AS but am learning about it> I have a nephew who has been diagnosed with autism and a dear friend of one of my kids that is undiagnosed so far- he is 3. I am also a teacher and mother of 4. This thread intrigues me. I know that I have been treated cruelly- even as an adult. Unfortunately, i... |

| thank you for your generous reply. I will definitely include some information about personality types. I think that is a great idea- I know many kids have access to that type of quiz on Facebook- I'm sure it is inaccurate even though it is called Meyers-Briggs- but getting them thinking about this t... |

| Aimless- those are both terrific links and I have sent messages hoping to be granted permission to use excerpts. My children are 13, 10, 8, and 3 and we have a nephew with autism and a dear 3yo neighbor who is still undiagnosed but has some kind of issue. I find myself thinking about this often. I a... |

| well... 1st I think ignorance results in ignorant behavior- and there is enough of that in Middle shoools on a good day. and look at my use of ASD- see what I mean? I would like to define behaviors and sensitivities typical of AS students that are mainstreamed. Now I know "typical" is a difficult id... |

I can think back to a time when I was in HS (in the old days- the '80s) and we had a boy I now assume was ASD. My friend and I tried to talk to him, knowi... |

More importantly I want to include a Q/A section where I include the thoughts of ASD individuals about what is important to them in terms of being pa... |
