I have discovered, as I have grown over the years and experienced the death of public figures, that I do not seem to have the capacity to be upset about people I don't know dying. I can acknowledge that death as a concept is bad, and that people dying is sad, but I don't find any emotion over it unl...

On a scale of -10 to +10, I would be at 0.05 - almost complete ambivalence. But hey, at least my son didn't fight his bedtime for once.

Chess seems on the surface to be very much about logic, but a large part of being good at it is the ability to predict your opponent's moves. I play relatively well, but I can't predict my opponent's moves. I usually end up making a Xanatos Gambit to deal with this.

Hello, people of the planet. I am an AS diagnosed parent with an 8mo son. We have recently discovered a most undesirable problem with regular proceedings, such as changing diapers. My default work mode is slow and thorough, whereas my wife is somewhat faster and more willing to "cut corners&quo...

Dear Nameless Dude At Nameless Store Hello, how are you? Still harassing people with your sub-par chronological skills? Still don't realise if something has age limit, you ask for ID first, then get them to pay the cash? Anyways, I just want you to know I would sue you ASAP if I knew your name, but ...

As we are sliding towards the language topic, I would like to mention there are many differences between English (British), English (USA), English (Canada), and English (Australia).

Possible? Of course. Almost everything is possible. Some things are just very hard. For example, just because we haven't been able to do alchemy yet, it doesn't mean it is impossible. Sometimes, you have to try all the doors to know if a house is locked. But what if the house is so huge that it tak...

Thank you. Oh, and I forgot to mention I lack mirror neurons. me too! nor can I recall faces nor read body language. Well, I CAN recall the most basic of emotions, joy and rage, but that is mostly because I have just learned it over time. Although my mirror neurons don't exist, my memory is above a...

Personally, I do not understand the term "Aspie". Is there more to it than just a "pet-name" for people with what we know as Asperger's Syndrome (which is completely wrong, as Asperger never was diagnosed with said "syndrome")? What about the picture of a snake and a comment about "Aspies"? It is qu...

Although this site is for almost anything, I believe a dating site would be a better place to advertise your lack of girlfriend. No offense intended.
