Chris, As far as Pakistani culture goes, you're better off getting information from first-person accounts, the Pakistani Embassy/Consulate, etc. and so on. I'd recommend watching a few movies and TV dramas to get the hang of it. Has the girl in question moved back to Karachi, or is she still in your...

I've only told my mother and a few friends about AS, and they've all had the same skeptical, condescending response to it all and I've been lectured to no end about how I'm 'normal' and I just have a few kinks in my behaviour which'll iron out over time, etc. The fact that I've lived and continue to...

yes, these progressive trance tunes have me hooked. I must listen to all three a hundred times in the last week alone. They are beautifully harmonizing chord progressions you do not hear anyone use in pop music, which I love! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unvAoiMWinY&feature=player_embedded#at...

Had hash a few times. Nothing happened, even though my cousins were off their rocker and so high it was like watching Half Baked IRL. Those experiences put me off and I don't plan on having it again.

I have shisha (read: hookah) a lot and that calms me down or helps me think. Thoughts?

Wrote this in 5 minutes. I'm not a poet, though. The Garden: You came to me in a shower of blue up and across, sailing through. Lying still in the raven hearse, my dead eyes, began to converse. Of a time far faster than space could hold where life as a child began once you got old My being a nothing...

Interesting topic! I have a knack of speaking languages with a fairly authentic accent and it's always been a mystery. Even though my parents only spoke Urdu at home, I was well versed in English from a very early age, on my own account. I can pull off a mean Emirati Arabic accent and a decent Frenc...

Fastest I ever drove was in a former friends 1972 Maserati Ghibli. This was many years ago. I don't know the exact speed as I quit glancing at the speedo at around 150 mph. Trees along the 2 lane East Texas 'piney woods' road were apporaching warp speed and small bumps felt like mountains. Sweet! I...

The fastest I've driven is around 160 kph in my friend's 350Z, without a license, in my hometown. Good fun! The fastest I've seen as a passenger is around 240 kph in my friend's 996 GT3. Missed out on riding in a modded Bentley Continental GT, which hit 325 kph on a stretch of highway outside Dubai....
