Ah gotcha. Well! IT positions sound like a good bet. It's nice you're trying to help him with that. You say he's shy and fearing getting rejected by jobs can make even applying really hard if he's shy so. Something that makes use of his talents sounds a lot better than his old grocery-store job sinc...

Ahh! It's not impossible, otherwise there would be no video games! This may not answer the issue right away but a lot of time spent doing what looks like nothing can be a way of gathering information on a thing and mentally processing it. Since he wants to make video games it makes sense he'd be spe...

Anger issues are consistent with depression and from the rest of what you describe he sounds depressed. People won't do things that don't give immediate rewards if they are unable to imagine a future. All the pushing in the world won't help, speaking in my experience as the pushee anyway - you have ...

I don't know. There's a big difference between wanting to be the object of obsession and wanting to be the object of love. Wanting to be the object of obsession (to me at least) implies narcissism and not thinking of a relationship with someone as a two-person thing but all about oneself. Love is re...

How is this possible. I feel like the world is going through a really weird time right now. That doesn't seem real.

Ah so glad you understand! :D I was thinking, not sure if you've seen it but the movie 50 First Dates where Drew Barrymore has no long-term memory and wakes up every morning like it's her first day on earth and has to take the shock of everything all over again EVERY SINGLE DAY... I feel like that w...

Yeah I'm way too easily overwhelmed too. Example. Been listening to the same song on repeat for awhile now. The song is so overwhelming it's like all the sadness and happiness in the world stuffed into 3 minutes. Ridiculous but it's exhausting just to listen to. But then I have to listen to it again...

Sweetleaf I wish I was in a position to help you to feel better somehow but I am not. However I am concerned about you and I hope you know lots of people here care about you.

#?, way beyond exhausted, sick, panicky but could be worse. Just feel really weird, hope something changes soon.

You should contact emergency services by phone and tell them you cut yourself. They could tell you what to do then; it's possible you're not in a great state to get yourself somewhere alone, even anxiety-wise. The cutting incident is a concern on two levels, physical- and mental-health-wise (well th...

If I am not around people who know the real me, I can fake it quite well indeed. They're both the real me really, just the confident me is the me I would be had I grown up in a different way. I've been accused of being a chameleon.

Don't beat yourself up, you're not lazy, you're depressed. The insurance company sounds like it's being ridiculous. Whining and complaining it's not, I mean everyone needs someone to tell their problems to so they don't corrode them from the inside and I know it's very difficult when real-life frien...

Henbane I had no clue a band called Modern English played that song!

Maje I really like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun."

I am quite predictable here with artist choice. This video makes me want to cry.

Depression makes you feel guilty and regretful about things you don't need to feel that way about, and a sense of doom and hopelessness about the future. In other words I don't know what you've done but I doubt it's anything worse than anyone else here has done, and I doubt your future is doomed lik...
