The power of hormones when you are in your 20s is a massive driver when the prospect of sex is dangled in front of you. Males in the 20s don't have particularly well developed executive decision control and it doesn't take much to get us hooked into a relationship that is destined to go nowhere. I'...

I sit at the table when I'm eating lunch or dinner, but I usually sit on the floor when I'm drawing or writing. I find it hard to sit still in a chair when doing a calm activity that requires focus, so that's why I like to sit on the floor where I can change positions. I do sit at the table when I'm...

I got peer pressured into joining Facebook. Now I'm too addicted and couldn't live without it.

I get depressed when I don't give into peer pressure when it comes to drinking and drugs. I don't want to be drunk or high but then I feel depressed because I'm not doing what everyone else is doing.

I must be normal then. I don't seem to fit the autistic hyperfocus stereotype.

So Joe, not even really fizzy drink makes you burp? Nope, and I drink fizzy drink a lot. I don't fart any more than the average person either (yes, a woman has just admitted she farts! 8O ) I think it just becomes oxygen and I breathe it out. I usually cough (not choke) when I drink fizzy drinks so...

Problem solving seems to be "something autistic people are supposed to be good at" in one article then the next article it's "something autistic people are supposed to struggle with", so I never know which it is. Maybe it's just down to the individual. I am a good problem solver...

Any song with an unnaturally high "Pinky & Perky" voice. Ie, Dance Monkey (already mentioned in this thread).

The "how do you feel right now on a scale of -10 to +10" thread. OK, I suppose I do get that it might be useful for autistics to express their feelings in numbers, but I have never been able to express feelings in numbers. I find it much easier to express my feelings in words and actions (...

Last night our carbon monoxide detector randomly went off in the kitchen, even though both gas appliances had been switched off for a while, and there isn't anything else that uses gas. I thought it might have come from a gas leak outside but the window was closed. We opened the window all night to ...

I'm sorry I overreact... I wasn't doing it to make you feel bad, it's just I have what I call "autism dysphoria", and when I see information that makes autism a doom to deadly illness as well as a neurological disorder, I freak out. If I were religious I'd just shout at God for making me ...

Why do you keep editing your post instead of responding to us as to why you think you're dying? It's quite misleading and it had me concerned. I'll be gone one way or another. Anyone can use this space to write anything they want to say to me before then. What do you mean gone? I don't understand. ...
