I love games, but I'm more about games that involves skill, and less about random kinds of gameplay. I don't mind if a game has random element/s as long as there's some skill involved. I don't like games which has purely random gameplay; although if I do play those types of games, I'm trying to be s...

My main (special) interest is computers/Internet. I was into BASIC programming before I started high school. (I started high school in 1990.) I feel that I've had a head start considering how important computers have become in today's society. However, I haven't had a paid job involving computers. I...

Verbally, I find I can't really do this. I either start repeating myself or get so lost in the details I have to stop and "reset" my thoughts so I can figure out what I'm trying to say. I'm not sure if I experience what you described or at least not to the degree that you experience, but the quote ...

Hi. I didn't want to hijack someone else's thread about Schizophrenia and Asperger's Syndrome. The first diagnosis I can remember was depression. I was afterwards diagnosed with Social Phobia / Social Anxiety Disorder. I eventually had a breakdown and some time afterwards was diagnosed with Schizoph...

Almost immediately when I found out that I was diagnosed with it. I had a feeling before then that I was an Aspie; so I was content or even happy to be formally diagnosed as such.

I also like music (I used to play an instrument but now I just listen/appreciate), photography, and I find radio communication interesting too.

I spent a lot of time in the library in primary school, back then I used to read often. In high school I still used to hang-out in the library but it was less about the books then. I guess it felt like a sanctuary. I still socialized (albeit with few friends) but it was usually in or near the library.

I love parties (as long as there aren't 'too' many people there and as long as I know most of them even if they're not a close friend) but I usually stick to those I know well, and will generally only talk to those I'm not so familiar with if they're near my close friend(s) unless we don't talk for ...

I was good at (and enjoyed) reading and spelling... but I did terrible at essays. I could write ok and I think this wasn't an issue. I didn't have a clue what I was writing about (I made up 'facts' just so I was writing something -- I didn't realise this was important but found out it was when I rec...

I'm glad its not just me that does this. I rehearse conversations in my head if I plan to talk to someone that day or the next day. I do it similar to "thinking ahead" in a game of chess -- that is I think about what that person may say or ask and think about how I want to respond to that. I also "r...

Hi.

My name is Trevor and I live in the City of Greater Wollongong.

Last year I found out I have AS, although I had suspected I had AS before I was diagnosed.

Cheers,
Trev.
