I had an amazing childhood, but was an unfulfilled religious music genius at 8½, so qualified in Constitutional Law and Literature and also in Architecture, County Surveying, Town and Country Planning and all related forms of Engineering at 15½, to develop chains of self-sufficient church missionary...

But we already have rights? The condition of the people with Spectrum is like the condition of African Americans after the civil war. Sure we have "rights" but that's not enough. When you have a society of hypocrite bigots who will judge you for being autistic then "rights" are ...

I just re-read the rules and see that the only rule I broke was discussing excretory function - so I humbly apologise to you all for that - I can't promise I won't do it again as when discussing health issues What You See Is What You Get - and I don't see what is offensive about the excretory funct...

I was diagnosed at age 49. It was like someone switched on football stadium night game floodlights inside my head. My performance at work rocketed so much I was asked to coach and counsel my local colleagues to enable them to keep up with me. A year on I was asked to coach and counsel national colle...

Maybe it's the dad in me but I'm not sure your subject matter is appropriate in this forum ^^^^^ far better in the adult discussions IMO I've just come back after having second thoughts to edit my last post and toned it down a lot. Getting content right is difficult in public websites like this. Bu...

I agree with one point on the above, if someone is draining and causing you a lot of stress, consider cutting them out for a while, until you can deal with the why of that and resolve it. And if you can't, cut them out. Obsessing over it does a lot more damage than absence would, and sometimes with...

The high comorbidity ASD has with GAD and OCD, doesn't this mean aspies cannot be happy? By mere logic? I also ruminate constantly, but I can be happy-...

The keys to Aspie happiness are these (IMHO): 1) ALWAYS make time for yourself, no matter how much work you have to do. 2) Meditation, meditation, meditation. Coupled with some relaxing music, and.or nature sounds, this works wonders on taking the stress away. 3) Just don't give a you-know-what. St...
