ok I think what you are suffering from is the same as what I am, it is what I call 'connection frustration'. Basically like sexual frustration but when any sort of real connection to another person is blocked, not just sexual connections. It is completely maddening. It is the feeling of being so clo...

Hi I'd like to change my username, but when I try to register another account (with another email address) I dont receive the confirmation email. I think you have some security thing that blocks multiple accounts on the same ip? Could you change my username on this account, or allow me to sign up a ...

hey I remember you, you like Zelda right? 15 is a weird, scary, cool, and exciting age to be. Hold on to the things you believed in when you were a kid, lest you grow up too fast and lose them forever. And don't be afraid to make close your eyes and make that leap of faith, when the opportunity arises...

Next door don't smack their kids, and they're always having tantrums adn waking everyone within 100 metre radius up. Ok. Thats great. Of course a child is in no way a conscious, spiritual, thinking being, but instead akin perhaps to a pet dog, whose behaviour is to be molded with a carrot in one hand...

weird huh. my (non-Aspie) sister is sort of different from me (super sociable, just in a genuinely nice way) but in some ways we're actually quite similar. Do you get on with your brother? If I had had a brother I think I would be at a different place right now, but I'm not sure how different or in ...

Oh dear, lol! Well maybe that was a bit overblown haha.. I was just in that sort of mood when I posted . I should qualify that by saying that I do not believe that every person with Asperger's is some sort of angelic and perfectly moral person. It's funny how you focus on a couple of positive trait...

this is cool! I would not mind doing some research on Hans Asperger. With your interviews I think you should find like 3 or 4 people who have particularly interesting/compelling stories, as opposed to a big bunch of people. Aspie kids are really interesting, very cute and endearing, it would be grea...

yeah I get what you mean. Trusting, sincere, guileless. We should all strive to cultivate this inherent goodness and not let it be overshadowed by depression/negative thoughts. Personally I really want to build up my life such that I have enough self esteem and respect to allow these traits to shine...

in the very first episode (the pilot), after fry and bender meet in line for a suicide booth (fry thought it was a payphone), they go to a bar for a drink. Bender tells fry how he is a bending unit, and fry asks him if he's any good. Bender says in an upbeat tone "You kidding? I was a star! I could ...

The two themes that can make me tear up in movies are childhood/coming of age, and brotherhood/friendship/comradarie. Childhood innocence vs cold uncaring reality gets me every time. Stand by me, at the end when Gordie is crying and Chris comforts him so caringly and concernedly. The friendship betw...

here's something I came up with through trying to deal with my own perfectionism: Perfection is something you strive for asymptotically- no matter how close you get, you can never quite reach it. (but paradoxically its a worthy and laudable goal) For you non-maths types, an asymptote is a line that ...
