Service dogs are very expensive unless you can train them yourself. |

You're still young man, focus on learning a topic that you enjoy and with the slight possibility of making money in that. Sorry if that's generic or lacking but it's true- if you can just focus heavily on learning something that can make you money later down the line you will grow better and better ... |

I don't think therapists or psych's interact with people on the spectrum very well- neither do they do well with people who have been traumatized. I've seen many of them....maybe there are some that are helpful but in my experience most are very arrogant and think of themselves more than they should... |

The sedentary modern lifestyle is a huge reason that so many are depressed today. Whether autistic or not if humans can full exert themselves in a physical way as best they can, the body will reward their minds afterward. |

As people on the spectrum are more sensitive in general it is easier for them to develop CPTSD, especially if being targeted by NT bullies or other spiteful/mean people on the regular. Seems like a coin flip as to whether someone with autism will develop such because of the life that we all live. It... |

In my own life telling people of autism as almost always lead to them reacting poorly for some while others just completely change how they treat me in a weird way that I can't explain. I don't tell people anymore- too many bad experiences. I have found most people are going to create a fictional ve... |

I read that even a cold can lead to deadly complications such sepsis. And pneumonia, of course. But I think that's mostly in people who are elderly or have immunity disorders. But you could be incubating the virus and not know you have it yet, and end up giving it to someone with those conditions, ... |

I forgot to mention I had to sleep in one of these for several months for apnea. I was supposed to use it for the rest of my life, but it gave me meltdowns. It was even worse because I needed blindfolds along with it. I guess it's all relative when we determine what our sensory tolerance is. Not tr... |

Guess I should have assumed all of the branch covidians would use this opportunity to virtue signal. This was not to debate the effectiveness of masks (they do nothing basically- at best they have a 1-2% effectiveness rate which is abysmal) and strictly to talk of any issues an autistic person might... |

While I can do it I have always had trouble and great frustration talking over the phone. Video chat and text is slightly better. Text being the best as all I have to do is read the words. (though I notice a trend with the increased texting of those who are extroverts/highly verbal they get confused... |

I was curious if anyone had any difficulty with the wearing of masks during the co vid? I have switched jobs 3 times to not wear them. I only wear them when I have to go to the doctors because the insurance said they refuse to right exemption for ANY reason. Sad how this "society" likes to... |

There is no medication or drug that cures autism. They may help the subsequent depression/anxiety/sensory issues from dealing with a mismatch world but they will not change how one thinks which is the underlying issue. The closest I can imagine that would is psychadelics or hallucinagens of some sor... |

If you all want to discuss the merrits and pitfulls of the global warming theory (a term which they have changed to now say "climate change") that seems more appropriate for the politics section. This year working outside I got more wet then other years. We had a late summer that wasn't pa... |

Greta is just a poster child- her words and actions are not her own. Don't really care what she believes the situation is she is simply being used by a group of very wealthy people to manipulate people. But remember how she complained how nobody around her cared, not even her parents . So I guess s... |
