I always respond honestly, but I don't go into deep detail with strangers. If I feel crappy though I say "Hmm, so-so. I don't feel good today" or something.

I'm a very picky eater due to food textures and smells. It's easy to just not eat these things though! There are lots of different foods in the world :) I don't eat meat or fish and pretty much no dairy. I subsist off a lot of beans and bread and the same few fruits and vegetables. Like someone else...

I know everyone seems to think Aspies have blunted emotions, but I feel the exact opposite! I get so, so overwhelmed by all of the things I feel, but I don't know how to express them to other people. I feel like everything comes out wrong or vague and the true depth of my emotions can never be prope...

I have a few people around me who are very patient with me and very accepting. At moments I think "Oh, she really gets me!" But then, thinking over everything, I realize that no one will ever really understand the way my brain works :(

I don't let foods touch each other on the plate. I want each food to maintain its individual flavor and texture. I also eat one food all at once, then move on to the next.

Is this an Aspie thing or OCD? I have traits of both.

I believed until age 6, when I realized that the handwriting on my presents looked very similar to my parents'. I promptly told my mother this and she said "Ok, yes, that's right. But don't tell your brothers." Instead, I felt so excited at my newfound knowledge that I went to school and told my who...

I have a few close friends and they are very dear to me, but I admit I don't keep up with these relationships as much as I should. I really get wrapped up in my own thoughts too often :( I've never been in a relationship of any kind, never even been on a date. I'm not averse to it, but I am extremel...

As weird as this sounds I usually watch a horror and that makes me feel better. I am not too good with people as it is, but on a bad day I find I try and avoid them as much as possible..which isn't easy on a school run. So at night I watch some weird monster/man/thing go on a rampage. (yes I have a...

Yes! I also (apparently) have a very inappropriate sense of humor where I think it's okay to joke about things I shouldn't discuss in public  I think I use words too poetically as well. People think it's odd, but cute.

Was at a bar last night with my roommate and a guy came up to us and started chatting. I thought he was quite young so I said so- "You're young though, aren't you?" He said "I'm 28." I responded "Oh, that's old." My roommate started laughing and said "That's rude!" So then I felt embarrassed and res...

PMS (extreme emotions, clingy, touchy) eating crap food (want to be alone) alcohol (NO FILTER AT ALL!) heat/humidity (watch out for me having a tantrum) Things that make my AS better: alcohol (but only in my drunken mind) mus...

This is not an Aspie thing. My good NT friend gets much worse cramps than me.

Mine have been terriible since age 12. I've learned to control them though. It's called 5 Motrin at once! I'm sure my liver is shot considering I drink a lot and also take allergy meds.

I used to pick at my skin so badly as a teen that someone once asked me if I had leprosy  Getting old and no longer getting loads of zits helped a lot. But I'm guessing you aren't there yet... I also pick at ingrown hairs on my legs and they are now utterly disgusting. The best thing I've foun...

You just look like a normal chick. But if your mannerisms were gayish, then I would easily be able to tell you were gay.

These are pretty much the only straight girls I know. LOL. It doesn't make me uncomfortable, but it makes me frustrated, confused, sad and angry. I can never understand the point of it all.
