I love giving gifts but receiving them has always been uncomfortable for me. Even if I love the gift I always feel a little bewildered about how I'm supposed to react.

Well, as usual, today is just the last straw on the camel's back. I just never seem to be able to communicate with people at all. I am so gunshy at this point that I just don't want to talk anymore. I can go for a while without any misunderstandings but when they happen it just devastates me. Its li...

Oh god...all the time. Most of my hypothesizing during my life was in the form of questions like "what is wrong with me?" "why do people hate me?" "why do bullies always want to pick on ME?" "why do people always get mad at me when I try to help them." "why can't I make friends?" and on and on. Find...

Although I know a few people who are crude enough to actually be talking about feces when they say that, I've been around enough to know that most likely he's talking about pot brownies. If that's the case and you take him up on the offer, only eat about half of one and then wait two hours before ha...

Am so frustrated...done a lot of work in learning to communicate but it all seems useless because I still end up in huge arguments. It seems like I can simply say "Pardon me, do you have the time?" and somehow find that I've been rude or insulted someone. I really do wish I had the willpower just to...

bad bad idea...not the drugs but the setting. One thing to remember about hallucinogens is that they depend on your state of mind and everything that contributes to it at any given time. Also, drugs aren't always bad but they do require some brains to do without hurting yourself. Most people do it w...

I could barely read after the first bit I was so mad.....I was bullied viciously early on. To this day it affects me, the most notable effect being that I don't have any sense of "escalation." As soon as someone seems to be trying to intimidate me into doing things their way I into absolute resist m...

Unfortunately, there is no place on Earth that isn't claimed as territory by SOME government, including any new land that may rise out of the sea. It would be nice to have a place that people could go if they wanted to opt out of the consistently broken system we have now and live their lives in pea...

IF I can get away with it I wear as little as possible. When I have to wear anything its the loosest, softest clothing, like cotton jogging pants. Some synthetic fabric just feels 'toxic' to me for no particular reason. I've been thinking of going Scottish and wearing a kilt. lol. My socks are the s...

Well, I've been singled out as different pretty much from the get go. As I went through school I was "the smart kid" "the weird kid" "the spaceshot"(All my life I've been accused of being on drugs because I don't hear well, say inappropriate things AND I spend a lot of time amongst my thoughts) "the...

Hi, first time posting a topic and I'm actually nervous....so here goes In the topic "My husband has Aspergers....help" I think we can see a prime example of the miscommunication that occurs between AS and NT people. So, I'd like people to post replies in this thread with prior understanding that no...

The example he gave me was: If you're talking to a person who doesn't know anything about cars then all the details you give about the function of 27 different... |

The only thing that ever worked in helping me get to sleep at the same time every night was Cannabis. If you're lucky enough to live where you can get it legally give it a shot. I used to just take 5 or 6 puffs at 11pm and I'd sleep fine until 7am with maybe a bathroom break at some point. And if I ...
