Anyways, eh... the point is, in my opinion here, the Psychiatry people were bent on pathologizing my personality type . As a kid, I was quiet, and liked to do things on my own than with other kids, but I eventually still got classified into a 'disease'. I don't understand why my way of perceiving ev...

No offense taken here either. I'm not seeing anything in your post that's screaming, "NOPE, DEFINITELY NOT ASPERGER'S!" though. If you were here for the first time asking if we thought you had it, I would be saying, "Go get evaluated." Since you already have, and I'm just not seeing anything that s...

Avoiding eye contact to avoid offending people...thinking of self as overly empathetic...sounds like Aspergers. Well, it's just a fear I have. I'm too sensitive and all. Also, that, I don't let it ruin everything in the world? I don't actually think that , I'm saying in relative terms. Perhaps empa...

Hello, I'm posting this specifically because I have been thinking lately, and am coming to a tentative conclusion of being misdiagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. The issue largely has to do with IEPs, etc., anyways I'll get to the point. I was diagnosed with AS after being referred for ADD. The reas...

Hello, I was thinking, are there any other Agendered/Neutrois members on this forum? Agendered means not falling within either end of the gender-binary, Neutral, in a sense. In terms of speaking of Male/Female, Agendered people are neither and fall independently on the Gender-binary. Not Androgynous...

I usually test as INTJ half of the time, except with weak Te and J functions. The ambiguity resonates with how I also lie at the cusp with INFJ. The two share the Ni dominant function, and I suppose my type would then be "INXj".

Hello, is it possible to stop a hypomanic episode in it's tracks when it's 'coming on'. I'm Cyclothymic, and I can often tell when I'm having an episode, but it's usually by the time it's gotten worse. For example, last Autumn when I had the last occurence I only realized it when events had really b...

In school I once took a standardized test which measured Verbal, Nonverbal, and Mathematics skills and I came back with an extremely high verbal score and a relatively low nonverbal score. Previously, this was considered to be the Holy Grail for an AS diagnosis, but recently that has been called int...

I need help writing to girls online without seeming too flirty or banal. I am always afraid of coming forward, as I am concerned my messages will be deemed vulgar or mundane. I need help on how to talk to them, as I don't want to be mistaken for a creeper or if my messages might seem too dry. How ca...

If the DSM-V eliminates Aspergers syndrome from the manual and folds it under the Autistic severity scale, would Aspies by default become HFA Also, what will happen to the ICD and other manuals criteria if the DSM delisted AS?

My mother's bloodline (excluding distant relations, of which I am unclear about) is already on it's way to extinction as her brother had a daughter, so it's only a matter of time before they dwindle in numbers. My father's line looks like it's also about to disappear, as all his siblings are sisters...
