I felt a surprising sense of relief when I heard about it. Maybe I'm taking things too far, but it felt like a strike against the idea that power and wealth entitle someone to get away with anything they want. Yes. Its a sad embarrassing day for America because...a former POTUS got convicted. But i...

Just jump in with both feet into whichever language. None will "bite" you. Never took Latin. But did fine in high school Spanish. Written Spanish is...well... I would make more spelling mistakes in my native English in the rest of my courses than I ever did in Spanish class! Thats because ...

Got beat up by a gang of muggers once. Ended up in the emergency room. So I would have to name "homo sapiens" as the species that I had the most dangerous close encounter with. Did see a coiled probable rattlesnake on a hiking trail from a distance once. But gave it a wide berth- if the qu...

And what if you skidded sideways...into parallel universes of the present? Skid slightly sideways and you would be in the US in which Hillary was our 45th POTUS instead of Trump...further...and you would be in the US in which the South had won the Civil War a century and half earlier and we are two ...

There is no "both".

Rightly condemning both HAMAS and Israel for barbarism is a single consistent honest opinion.

Thats interesting because it shows that Venus maybe as "geologically alive" as Earth. In contrast Mars, though once a happening place, seems to have been geologically dead for maybe a billion years. Trouble is that we can see the surface of Mars more easily than we can that of Venus. Earth...

I read that when Rosemary Kennedy was born her mother was told not to let her come out of her until the doctor showed up, which wasn't for at least two hours because of the 1918 flu pandemic. The mother forced her baby to stay in her birth canal for that long, which seriously deprived her brain of ...

What would keep something from being able to enter it? We at least have gravity to explain why nothing can leave a black hole. You cant drift upstream. Its all of that energy, and matter, vomiting OUT of the white hole that pushes you away. In contrast black holes suck matter and even light energy ...

I normally quite enjoy a good mobster movie, but I never liked Casino, which happens to be highly rated, for whatever reason. It has been a long time since I have watched it. "Casino" is a problematic movie for me too. It both engages me...and then bores the crap out of me. A couple or th...
