I make my bed every morning with vertical hospital corners and arrange the six pillows just-so. I get frustrated if I wake up too late and don't have time to make it. An unmade bed makes me toss and turn too much.

My room is decorated with some plant photos in simple black frames, semi-old Mac computers (2003–2004), myriad pillows, a well-stocked and alphabetised bookshelf, and general neatness. As for the 'ambiance' of my room/happy place, the lightbulb must be incandescent, or I get irritated. I do not like...

From personal experience with Macs, that sounds like a faulty logic board (possibly the integrated Power Management Unit). A replacement logic board will not be cheap ($250–$400 US/AU). You can either take it to Apple and get them to do the repairs (they will charge for labour on top of replacement ...

I have had rhinitis, sinusitis, and mild asthma since I was born, from what I can tell. I was hospitalised for acute bronchitis when I was 3, but that hasn't resurfaced.

If they didn't spend so much, they wouldn't be in debt. All debts should be honoured. The amount spent on the military and the Black Budget is staggering.

I'm always picked last and end up doing everything myself. It seems I'm too nice to deprive the other members of their credit. Fortunately the group work I've done so far hasn't included any presentations; that would be a nightmare.

This is a recording of me reading the first passage of Poe's Ligeia : http://soundcloud.com/nathankearns/ligeia-2/s-j03fB Interestingly enough, I was brought up in an Australian household, yet I speak with a voice that has distinctive British (RP) overtones, at least from what I can tell. My voice s...

I was intensely bored with my program at university. I was studying English literature, but I became so bored of it. After one and a half years of studying English literature, I decided to take psychology as an elective, and it's the first course I've found intensely interesting and engaging. I've b...

It could be a result of poor posture. Many autistic people walk 'differently'. I often get shoulder and lower back pain, but, having said that, so do lots of people. Wonder if you could elaborate on 'walking differently'? What do you mean by that? I don't really know much about Autism/Aspergers and...

This happened to me. My NT friend told me what was going on, so I told the girl outright that I had no interest in her. She then became suicidal, and I had to rectify it. Terrible mess, really.
