I voted most likely no. Mainly because I am not absolutely sure of anything. I like to leave the door open a little to possibilities.

I started awhile back. Doctor said I was getting old so I should start lifting some weights. 5'10", 215 pounds, 17-18% body fat. I have benched 315 pounds and that's probably about my max. I don't dead lift, this old back can't take it anymore. Turning 50 next year.

That's what makes Christianity superior. If not original sin, you are in severe danger of inventing something akin to original virtue, which legitimises any instinct, thought or desire (it must come from a good place if we are virtuous by nature). There's another option. Humans are neutral, capable...

I'd just call them hyper-xenophobic fascists, because that's basically what they are. It seems like it's more of a personality defect than a political ideology because their political opinions are usually incoherent at best. They form opinions on a gut level based on their primal lizard brain - dom...

Its disturbing. I was raised Catholic. Two of the three priests from the church were run out for child abuse charges and allegations. So it was 66% were I attended. Years later I was actually called to Jury Duty from one of the families suing the priest. I had to dismiss myself because there was no ...

Politics: Fiscally conservative. Socially progressive.

Philosophy: I like some of the Daoist concepts. Like that of wu wei (effortless or non-forceful action).

Religion: Apatheist and/or Deist.

The word religion comes from two latin words. re & ligare. Re means to return. Ligare means to bind. So religion means a return to bondage.

Of course, words meanings change with time and cultures, but I just find the etymology of the word both ironic and hilarious.

I’m a moral atheist. I don’t believe in God, but I’m interested in ethics and morality. I don’t believe in the Bible, but the Golden Rule reflects my attitude to an extent. Where does your Golden Rule come from if you don't believe in the Bible? Ancient Egypt.- circa 2000 BCE “Do for one who may do...

It seems like a lot of the draft talk, in the US, started after the Dept of Defense released some numbers a short while back. They reported that 71% of American kids between the age of 17 to 24 are not qualified to join the armed services. Physical health issues, mental health issues, criminal recor...

Do you remember when Sheikh Muhammad Al-Munajid, former diplomat at the Saudi embassy in Washington D.C, called for the head of Mickey Mouse? He decreed that household mice and their cartoon cousins must be “killed in all cases”. Then extended the decree to include Tom and Jerry.

I'd be willing to fight to defend my country. I am not willing to go fight useless wars spreading American imperialism across the world. So I am against the draft but it has nothing to do about me being a slacker or traitor. If Amercia's foreign policy was different, i might not be as opposed to the...
