hi all I only decided to get the diagnosis 3 years after my niece was diagnosed. I began to experience major anxiety every time I went to work after an incident which was unrelated to work. It was so bad I thought I would have to quit my job. I had to seek help and get answers. Quitting work was not...

How I get my household chores done is that I have a list. Toilet, shower, vacuum, rubbish, mirror, benches, dust bust, sink, basin. These are the chores I do once a week and I check them off as I go. When the freezer has lots of ice I add it to the list along with mopping the floor when I notice it ...

I have a licence but no car. I live where I can walk to work and I can take a bus or a train to get to the city. When I did have a car didn't like driving onto the highway and don't like the crazy things that other drivers do just to get to their destination 1 second quicker. So didn't drive all tha...

Hi Soccer My psychiatrist has prescribed it for me. I feel he has his perspective on the drugs. He is aware of the risks but I feel he downplays them. If I were a parent I wouldn't allow a child of mine go on Ritalin until all non drug related therapies had been used. That is why I am looking for ad...

I guess all scientific studies will have conflicting advice. Plus as all humans are different you will respond differently to medications. I have taken several different medications, before doc suggested ritalin. Dex was one of them and the itching nearly saw me scratch through my hand. I just kept ...

Hi, I have a decision to make. To take Ritalin or not. I am in my 30's. I have been diagnosed with Asperger's two years ago. I have no personal friends as I struggle in social situations as I don't have a the gift of the gab. I take medication for anxiety. The purpose of taking the Ritalin is not to...

I think it would be nice sometimes to be like others. But then I think why would I. Going and getting wasted every weekend with the potential of being in a drunken brawl or drink drive and kill someone does not appeal to me. Be happy with who you are and enjoy the things you like to do.

I really struggle with large crowds and the noise at the shopping centres. It's feels like the inside of my head is being attacked from within.
