Autistic men do not seem to be more or less misogynist than any other men. Autistic men are more likely to express it bluntly. |

I apologize for referring to the OP as a concern troll. I misunderstood the concerns expressed. |

The point was that his criminal record may have been the proof prosecutors had that he was truly a danger to society. I wish there was a way to know more about the case. It sounds like prosecutors alleged that he broke into a neighbor's house that one time and used that combined with his fight with... |

I have a feeling the answer (to the title of this thread) is yes, although I don't have any official statistics to back up my opinion (if such data were ever collected). I have seen many posters here who initially suspected autism (self-diagnosis), and then got an official diagnosis. I am one of th... |

No it's not. You aren't a patient if you haven't seen a doctor. People that aren't completely serious usually do not see doctors, despite self-diagnosing. I have known many people in my life that have been through this. It really is. You're trying to parse the words until what you want to be true i... |

Some people on this forum are not only mean by nature, they think that it's the only proper way to be.
Fortunately I can only think of a few like that. |

Yeah, people assume I'm a lesbian, because I say I am a lesbian. Because I am a lesbian.
So I guess my response doesn't actually apply to the question. |

It looks like his mother is disputing a particular incident in which Latson was determined to be guilty of basically "being in the area while black." Despite his criminal record, he should not be tried for not breaking any laws. |

If a patient suspects it, but not necessarily somebody who has not been a patient. This is just semantic quibbling. It is literally meaningless as an objection. One of my friends recently self-diagnosed with OCD and I hate it because I know he's deadset wrong. That's one person you know, and not ev... |

He's entitled to have opinions, but in some regards he's missing some rl experience, imho. Just like the pope who recently also demands for more empathy... really ?? And just like we go to a celibatair guy in a dress to get advice on reproduction ? I think Stephen Hawking is in an excellent positio... |

In both autism and schizophrenia, the afflicted individuals are, usually, far removed from reality. The difference lies in the fact that an autistic individual is trapped in their own mind. The difficulty they experience in communicating and relating to others leads to difficulties in staying attun... |

- SH really mounts up in having opions where he shouldn't, being a completely dependant existance, how free can you possibly be ? This really makes your entire argument suspect. You seem to be saying that Stephen Hawking should not have opinions because he is disabled and requires care, and that's ... |

I really think they should come up with some other term other than "ableism." What's wrong with being "able" to do anything? In the UK they use "disableism." But that's not the core of your objection, it seems: There is nothing wrong with being able to do anything. The... |

Yeah. I mean speaking as someone whose response to Elkclan was not charitable at all, banning someone for posting here is ridiculous.
That's how extreme the "us vs. them" attitude is over there. |

The most arrogant, unpleasant people I have known took great pride in calling people "stupid" or "idiots" or "morons" or "imbeciles" and since I try not to follow their example, I don't use that terminology. These are also highly emotive and subjective judgmen... |
