Why men in relationships feel the need to bi*ch about their girlfriends/wives when in the company of 'the lads'? Putting them down, saying they're fat/ugly, a nagger etc.......generally giving the impression they'd really rather not be with that person.......and yet they aren't exactly Adonis' thems...

Sorry, I've been too lazy to read the other threads, but I'm up late and want to give you my two pennies worth! Initally, after diagnosis, elation in a non dramatic 'I kinda knew' sort of way..........life goes on and whether you decide to tell people or not, I don't think it matters; the only peopl...

nope, can't do it. I'm really good at killing a joke flat dead though; tumbleweed moments are my speciality However I can make people laugh by making an idiot of myself or apparently when I really let myself 'go' I loose control of my body and the effect is hilarious by all accounts...........not su...

Don't understand how I'm supposed to trust anyone; when I give some trust it's just thrown back in my face like an old wet kipper slightly warmed by santa's boosom slapped across my unsuspecting mandible.

What to do, how to do? Diddly do de do

Time to move on AGAIN, me thinks :? 8O

Don't panic or let this take over your life and your every thought.......I know it's easier said than done, but you sound like you have a very sensible plan and if you stick rigorously to it the reward of being out of debt is Sooooooo worth it. I've been in your position but with a much much larger ...

I despise my job and every day is an ordeal to try to encourage/push myself to go in..........but I do! (I don't say motivate myself, because there is absolutely nothing in my work that motivates me to want to be there) The only thing that keeps me going is the thought of being unemployed. I've been...

Inane and ignorant comment from a so called colleague............same rubbish I have to hear every day; I wish I could get my words out and say what I'm thinking in those situations instead of getting angry; it's so energy zapping! Why is it some people immediately think that quiet people are just p...

Thank you all for your input, it's good to hear someone's opinion from 'the outside'; you all seems to have similar thoughts about my situation. I belive I've made my feelings known to them quite clearly, but perhaps they don't realise how much it's been affecting me so negatively. I have to admit r...

I've been seeing someone for a year now. It hasn't been easy for various reasons, but mainly: 1. because of my erratic behaviour due to Asperger's and 2. because they have unresolved and undiagnosed health problems which have largely been the focus of the last 12 months (lots of waiting for test res...

If they didn't censor homosexuality to such an extent the world would become much more open minded, being exposed to it (at an earlier age), on TV or through talking about it with others, would mean that seeing it in real life wouldn't cause people so much confusion, disgust or hilarity. I think it'...

Let bygones be bygones. They've made the effort to try to get in touch with you, (despite the rift), after loosing someone close to them. They've probably gone through some soul searching with their grief, and I think it says a lot that they thought of you and wanted to rekindle the friendship. What...

I have the same thing, OP. I always feel self-conscious about them. Didn't wanna make a similar thread, so I'll ask here: what about stuff for stretch marks? :D I don't work for Bio-oil, honest! But, apparently some women swear by it for stretch marks (especially post natal ones). The box comes wit...

As someone else mentioned 'Bio-oil' is really good, add some massage to the area when you apply it; a friend of mine has experimented with different things, but used Bio-Oil daily for a number of years for a scar on their face and it has definitely improved; it's less raised, 'bumpy' (for want of a ...

It's just how you process information I guess, so not "odd" to you. I find I don't react to bad news the way most people do until I think about it intensly or see the evidence; like you said until you got the information straight from your Mum you didn't believe it. The following will probably sound...

It's probably really hard for you to believe people's comments here, because you've got this idea of yourself as unattractive (I don't like the word 'ugly') but you are definitely neither of those things. Don't get drawn into this world's obsession with physical beauty/perfection; it's a waste of ti...

Yes I have, and did away with some self destructive habits at the time, although when that person, (and it's only ever been one that I've been inspired to change for, because I'd never met anyone like them), dissappeared from my life, I reverted back to my old habits. I know they'd still have the sa...
