I have that with seasons of the year. Specially the fall. |

I have also a big twitch with my eyes, cannot just normally blink most of the times, I have to perform a very heavy blinking movement in order to feel that I satisfactorily blinked. God, I do that. It is seriously frigging annoying. In the same time doing that is soothing, it makes you tired, doesn... |

I repeat the phrase I state right after I do it. Like an echo from what I said. Many times I catch myself repeating really long statements. I have also a big twitch with my eyes, cannot just normally blink most of the times, I have to perform a very heavy blinking movement in order to feel that I sa... |

galwacco, what do you do exactly? What do you mean by "physicist"? I'm curious. To be more exact, I'm taking my masters in astrophysics, I do research at the astrophysics lab for Santa Catarina State University ( Brazil ), finding and measuring accretion disks for binary stars. It's fun, though lik... |

It could be called social intuition i think. I think if you are in a pack of people it is less noticable. Unfortunately due to the nature of our condition we aspies tend to be solitary creatures. People instinctively fear the loner i think. I guess us loners must have been a threat at some point in... |

That happens to me on the bus also. When i was out at the gallery yesterday some chick even said out loud to her mates "What's wrong with that guy"? This makes me think that NT''s will always be able to spot that you are a little off centre and that ultimately there's not alot you can do to change ... |

I was already an atheist before my diagnosis. It helped me understand why I'm so hungry for information and why I have a hard time accepting things that don't make sense at all though. |

Interesting! I never realized it had any connection with my autism. I just can't sleep without hugging a pillow. And when I have a meltdown, or when I'm about to have it at home, I hug my pillow and rock back and forth. |

At my house, my mother usually just asked us what we wanted, or told us to make what we wanted ourself. She never forced us to eat things we didn't like and if we did eat something we didn't like, it was because that was all there was to eat. Your wife is having an empathy problem. Ask her if she t... |
