I run my hand through my (long) hair until I get a strand, and then I have to run the entire strand through my fingertips. Then I start the whole process all over again.
I especially like the gray ones because they have a different texture.
It used to drive my husband CRAZY. |

Anyone else? Do you get tired after social activities? What can you do to increase your not so tiredness? God yes. Yesterday I hosted a birthday party for my son, and had to deal with 16 kids, their parents, and a bunch of in-laws. Today I had to spend the entire day on the couch recuperating. I co...

Yes, this happened to me from my mid-teens all the way up into my early thirties, but I haven't had an episode in a long time. I researched it; it's a sleep disorder related to narcolepsy. One website called it Awareness During Sleep Paralysis. The person slips into an REM state before they're fully...

My weirdest obsession was probably the Appalachian Trail. I've never set foot on it. I don't even hike. But for some reason, when I found out that people actually hike the whole thing, from end to end, in one long trip, I became completely fascinated. I went to Borders and bought every book they had...

I cried on and off for several days right after my husband died, but I am generally not a crier. Dry-eyed at my wedding, and the births of my children. Dry-eyed at every funeral I've ever been to (except my husband's). The day my oldest started kindergarten, I was the only mom on the bus stop not cr...

I've got several problems in the social area: --First, I often don't recognize people I've met before, and so I try to play it off, but they invariably realize I don't know who they are, and they get insulted. This is especially troublesome in my waitress job, when I introduce myself to people I've ...

I can count on one hand the number of close female friends I've had in my life, and I'm still friends with only two of them. I've been friends with my best friend for 22 years. Our oldest kids are only 4 days apart, and we met at a playgroup. She's as NT as you can get, but she doesn't seem to mind ...

I've never been very girly. I live in jeans and T-shirts, wear my hair long and straight (and don't color my gray), have my nails clipped short and unpolished (I actually can't stand the feeling of having long nails), and only wear a little bit of cover-up, mascara and lip gloss if I'm going out. Ho...

I've had four natural childbirths, but that wasn't the worst. The worst was when I woke up one morning with "frozen shoulder." I was a grown woman, but I cried from the pain for hours, until my dad finally drove me to the doctor. I've never been so happy to see a giant needle coming at me in my life...

I laugh out loud to myself all the time. Life is so ridiculous, how can you not?? I sing along with the songs in stores, too, and sometimes make random observations to strangers. I'm 47, and I've never noticed this behavior being a problem for me. Or maybe I'm just oblivious. I always figure people ...

I think I'm uniquely qualified to answer this, as I just lost my husband of 15 years two months ago, of a sudden cardiac arrest. He was only 42 years old, and we did NOT see this coming, at all. I've been able to compare myself to other widows from the beginning, since I joined a young widow's suppo...

Hi everybody-- This has been quite an interesting few days..... Asperger's wasn't really on my radar at all, except that I have a funny, highly intelligent teenage nephew who has it. As far as I knew, I was nothing like him (except for the funny, highly intelligent part!). Then I came across somethi...
