"Oooo. A language nerd, are you? Say... wanna conjugate your principal parts with mine? "

But then of course she could say, "Sorry, buy I'm declined."

The problem I have with the concept of "inner beauty" is that it is necessarily contrasted with "outer beauty" and I tend not to see much of a distinction between the two if I'm interested in a person romantically. If I see a "hot" girl and then talk to her and realize she's really not all that brig...

I don't meet the criterion about being shy in approaching women. I just haven't had any success yet. I wonder why Wikipedia even includes this as an article. Usually articles like these have to be researched by more than one scientist and not just be one psychologist's pet theory. Ditto. The ...

So go ahead, build your “self” up. Store up those treasures that rot and corrupt. Fulfill your desires. Fight your battles and love your lovers. Experience glorious victories or crash and burn spectacularly. But remember, like that body you live in, it’s all temporary. We’re going to recycle it whe...

I'm very into metal. Ulver is my latest find, although I've been listening to a lot of Ensiferum lately also. What's strange is that I can't really find any metal bands who maintain the consistant quality (subjectively speaking, of course) of Pink Floyd or Radiohead. Maybe Tool, but they don't relea...

Christian music is great, I love it. Händel and Mozart will never go out of style.

Indeed. And let's not forget Palestrina. "Sicut Cervus" owns.

I HATED wuthering hieghts. And i couldn't stand Healthcliff or Kathy. However i read Jane Eyre about a hundred times.... ( i know they were written by different sisters...but all the other bronte books i read were ok, just not WH) Same here, actually. The fact that I hated it made it even more nece...

I'm single. A lot of people I know are.

Trust me, you're far from alone, although it can feel like that a lot of the time due to how our culture is set up.

Yeah, looking for (apparently) non-existant "deeper meanings" can be kind of frustrating, especially when everyone else seems interested in them. The thing is, I can sometimes get an understanding of the author that borders on empathy, which thus gives me a sort of insight into some literature. I am...

Flirting quite honestly terrifies me. I have no idea what the girl intends by it and just about always prefer a "normal" conversation. So I just kind of let the girl do whatever (I'm too scared to say "no" to her) and pray that she'll leave me alone once she's had her fun. I never initiate flirtatio...

That whole thing strikes me as typical NT bs. Stuff like that is one of the many reasons why I tend to prefer facebook over myspace (along with really sucky bands and wanna-be porn stars trying to friend me).

Nice commentary, though. Made me chuckle quite a few times.

Eh, unless the letters of reference are specifically mentioning that you have AS, I'd try to avoid mentioning that. These days, there's all these weird connotations with it... like "Asperger's = bad people skills + not a team player = unhirable" or "Asperger's = autism = Rain Man." So if it hasn't a...

That depends on your definition of "aspie." I've found that there are many girls who would never in a thousand years identify themselves as "aspies" or be diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome but still exhibit "aspie tendancies." I highly suspect that this is where the whole skewered male-female ratio...

Ummmm... wow. Lots of bickering on this thread. Kind of getting off-topic here... ANYWAYS. Like many of the posters above me, I've experienced this before. Ninth grade. Marching band. I was obsessed with my section leader. I don't think I'll ever be able to think of that person normally again... alt...
