I understand, I think about this too.

I compensate by giving the type of advice I would have needed, like, ten years ago.

Not sure whether this belongs here, but... I've got a party tonight (my brothers) so no getting out of it, lol. The thing is, I have quite a bit of anticipatory anxiety about it -- I'm the type that always assumes that something will inenvitably kick-off, and a massive fight will start - this is usu...

Surprise, surprise, an outing comes up which I actually look forward to and feel equipped to deal with, and you go and bring me down again. I know you want me to be happy, but being your little shut-in is worse than me having a drink now and again – yet you act like it’s the end of the world. I’ve m...

I am confused about one thing, though: why did you spend so many years of your life reading them...? :)

I don't really know. I was about fourteen when I started - it was probably for escapism, more than anything. What a waste of time it all was though! :o

Women’s Magazines… I HATE them. They are full of the same old shite every week – diets, ‘slebs’ on diets,’ 'the diet's that do not work', how to please your man, how s**t men are, interviews with 'reality stars' ‘idols’ or 'choreography men', clothes, handbags, ‘problem pages’, eurgh. It’s enough to...

Ah, Hagar the Horrible! The first avatar I used for WP, and possibly the last. (Possibly regressing). :D

I like popular songs.
I used to try and pretend that I didn't, but they got me in the end :D I know in my head that 'mainstream' music is naff, but my heart loves to dance to it, lol.

I'm not keen on them. I think the only baby I've ever held was my oldest niece, who's now twelve, and that was pretty weird. I turned down holding someone's kid a few months ago, but I managed to explain that I just feel uncomfortable with them and they were OK with it - the mum even turned around a...

I'd heard stories about Quorn - usually how naff it tasted - and then I tried some and now I'm addicted!! ! :D I still eat chicken and fish though, about two/three times a week. Chuck a chicken at me and I'd go Ozzy Osbourne on it  // jk.

Thanks for the replies. A lot of bad luck has been hitting the family lately, and everyone’s just been miserable, well, more miserable than usual  . My brother insulted me on the Sunday and I had to keep eveything together until I got home, since it was my niece's birthday and I didn't want to ...

You have Edea as your avatar, yet you mention no Final Fantasy game, let alone the one she appeared in? I don't understand. I was going to put Final Fantasy down, problem is I can’t decide between VII , VIII or IX, and it’s been a long, long time since I’ve played any of them. Edea was a favourite ...

I've heard about Deus Ex :D It sounds awesome. I also found the story in Heavy Rain to be engaging, though it was flawed in some areas. A lot of Madison's story was just silly, for example. The first half hour you spend with her is all a pointless dream with her being chased around in her underwear....

What are your favourite storylines from games? The kind that keep you pondering for ages afterwards, or make you want to play again to spot all the clues/ideas you missed? The main ones for me are Oblivion, Heavy Rain and the Legend of Zelda stories. But the one that really has me vexed is Legacy of...
