The restaurant was perfectly entitled to hold the policy and the hostess was entitled to ask. However, what the hostess claimed transpired and what actually transpired (based on the defendants lawyer) seems to not line up. The hostess initially let the women in to their seats but allegedly when conf...

Still feels kind of gross to reason about it because for sure it's wrong and she needs to face the consequences but at the same time there is probably more to the story than simply 'evil woman kills adult autistic child for no reason'. It could help save other autistic or disabled people in general...

This must always be a consideration when people do absurdly stupid things.

He should be charged with a hate crime.

Wasn't he the victim of his own crime

He wasted police resources and for that he should face the music

Murder is never an answer. If the mother was that exhausted and stressed then she should have just hit her or something. Yes I know hitting is wrong and everything but it's still better than killing. I'm guessing the hitting must have already preceded the strangling. If the daughter was already bei...

One of my parent's favourite songs is a Jim Reeve's rendition of the song "Rose in Spanish Harlem". When I was older I felt the song was a bit racist on two levels. Firstly stipulating it was Spanish Harlem (not Harlem) so that the girl was identified as Spanish (not black). But secondly ...

However, as Fnord mentioned, there are proxy measures that have good concurrent validity to IQ. e.g. problem solving tasks given as part of a job interview or scores on standardised tests in combination with ...

Yeah it's probably an individual decision. Older entertainers can't always replicate the gyrations and movement of old which explains why when James Brown, Tina Turner or even Josephine Baker did concerts in old age they would have skipped numbers they would have played in their prime. One of my par...
