I think it's because women want to be seen as more than just their sex appeal. They want to be appreciated for their other talents, skills, characteristics, not just how they look. Scarlett Johansson still looks pretty, she's still better looking than me. But she doesn't want to be just the pretty A...

Oh I know about salmon. I was a bit shocked when I discovered they literally fall apart towards the end of their life.

I mean we won't ever be in a salmon situation as humans with a queue of partners and we have to grab one quickly.

I'm not hurt, I like a good debate.

I actually can't remember how long. I thought he thought they were dates. Only the last one was apparently. We spent time with each other over about 2 years. It was very weird. Will they won't they. Ok the rule is: anyone can ask anyone out, but only say yes if you really genuinely like them back an...

I'm not picking on you, just picking on your post. :D How is that not about power? Women have the power of choice, its instinctual for a lot of species. We are on the third or fourth wave of feminism , yet it's the women that retain this power unless its just the stigma keeping it from occurring. C...

I used to feel like that. I used to argue with women who told me not to ask guys out or force things. "It'll just happen" they said. Then my moves paid off and someone bit... He really liked my friend and eventually dumped me and married her. All of my asking has never worked. If he wanted...

I've found that if women have to make the first move it's because the man isn't really interested. He might say yes, but it's because you're a stop gap until he finds what he really wants, then he'll magically develop the ability to go for what he wants and drop you like a hot potato. Also, I've fou...

I wonder if these answers indicate that a lot of people on the spectrum feel completely powerless. We don't even understand what the current rules are. How can we make new ones? I'm apparently very likable, everyone says so, but nothing I am is ever enough to be loved romantically. What rule is that...

Yes, I'm a Northerner with an RP accent who ended up in high school in greater Glasgow. Very racist against the English there. Horrible experience. I really struggled to find work when I left school. My mum suggested I should try and sound less English. I still sound Northern to a Northern ear thoug...

Since the subject seems to be British violence. It seems that people head butt in fights there, or at least on the tv shows.Just curious. That, my friend, is called a Glasgow kiss. You don't want to know what Glasgow smile is. Back in the 70s and 80s into the 90s there was a lot of gang violence in ...

I think we’re all in agreement that the MIL having cancer sucks, but that’s not the main thing OP wants to talk about. Anyone should be able to see why he’s having a hard time and he has the right to divorce her if they are in disagreement on how the whole thing should’ve been handled. You all bera...

I get why you're upset. I've never heard of someone just leaving behind their spouse bc a family member only has some time left to live. I have a friend doing this right now. She's in another town looking after her mother. No other relatives in this country. Also you've recognised the reason as bec...

I have a tendency to overeat when I'm not feeling well. I just snack all day. I've started recording what I'm eating on an app called Lifesum, but other apps are available. It's made me more aware of what I'm eating and makes me stop and think, "am I really hungry or do I just want to eat?"

Angelrho and JimJohn what stupid comments. What do you want her to do, get in a time machine and start again? Older single people on the spectrum didn't have the knowledge and social skills when younger, if we could be the people we are now and go back that would be awesome, but we can't. So, yes p...

It's so sad how people have to settle when they are young because of biology and end up with partners who are totally wrong for them and make their lives worse than they could have been.

Get out. Walk away. Leave. Unintentional abuse is still abuse. I have a friend 2 Friends who won't leave their abusive husband's because they are making excuses for them due to ADHD an an undiagnosed issue. The are unhappy and just want to be loved back and they are not being loved back after years ...
