While most of you seem to think that the most common instrument/s that aspies play is part of the percussion family, I am of the oppinion that a person with aspergers is best at playing the instrument that he is most comfortable with(It matters not which one). :)

Yes there is such a thing as being too rigid when it comes to life! If everyone spoke like they were raised going to grammar school or had their carreers assigned to them before they became teenagers, by a counsel that neither knew or really cared about them; life would be extremely sad! For anyone ...

I feel sad that the man never handed control of his life to Jesus Christ. If he had his hatred for the west would have dissipated because of Jesus guiding his very life!

Here Jesus Christ's take on it:
1. Don't get revenge but rather be kind to the one who hurt you(Matthew chapter 3, verses 38-42)
2. Don't count the times that you forgive someone(Matthew chapter 18, verse 22)(in other words don't stop forgiving the people that wrong you)

So your considering becoming a mando player? I would look for one that's about $199.00 for starters. The New York Pro mandolin is my first and cost about as much! It's a decent instrument in terms of its "bark", durability and playability and does not have the tinny echo of the Epiphone mandolin. Mi...

I am an aspie "rookie" mandolin player who would like to see if there are any other mandolinist who are members of this forum right now. To start with, my main song preferences for learning and jamming are bluegrass and country but I'll play whatever tune comes to mind when I'm just playing around! ...

I'm sort of like Pete from "Macgyver", sort of like the "soul-surfer" in learning how to glorify God through and inspite of my disabilities, sort of like "Gettysburg" character Colonel Joshua Chamberlain in that I'm into a bit of strategy and that I've held a club officer position; and like Nate fro...

I like alot of genres but my focus tends to be some rock, Christian, and bluegrass. Is there any aspie mandolinist on this forum who has shared my frustration over learning how to play Bill Monroe's Big Mon just right or close to the original?
