In response to the title of this thread: Yes. The term they would shout at me in school is "animal freak."
This is probably not a surprise to anyone.

Re face blindness...I try to be nice to everyone. I never know, I might know them! I used to do this, but it can actually get me in big trouble at bars. I would end up talking to people who were overly familiar with me only to find out deep in the conversation that I didn't know them at all. I was ...

Im wondering if any one here can offer advise or share their honest journey of late diagnosis/unmasking. Everyone's experience is unique, so I'm happy to share mine, but I'm not sure how much will be useful to you specifically. Like you, I was diagnosed at 36, though I've had a diagnosis of ADHD si...

It's a tricky issue. Certain seemingly harmless things set some people off. You can request a change, but if they're going to find that cumbersome to comply with, they're unlikely to want to. The love of my life. I love the sound of his voice, the feeling of his hugs, I even love the smell of his b...

How Did You Know You Were Gay/Bi?

You'd think that enjoying making out with my female friends in middle school, then male friends in college, would have been a dead giveaway, but no. It took me till my 30's to admit to myself that I was bisexual / pansexual.

I'm glad you both liked it. I became a little obsessed! XD Ahh I also realized today that this forum category is for age/gender related. I thought it was solely for LGBT discussion since I didn't see any other related topic, but I guess it belongs in "Television, Film, and Video" instead. ...

I think a lot of people can relate to what you are going through, OP. The feeling of a genderless sense of self and disconnect from the physical form seem to often go hand-in-hand. I myself am in a slightly different situation. I definitely relate to the idea of a genderless brain, but unlike every ...

Nimona on Netflix is really good too. It's a movie, not a show, but the story and art in the original graphic novel it's based on were created by N.D Stevenson, a non-binary and transmasculine person who was also the executive producer of She Ra. Stevenson also makes an autobiographical webcomic: ht...

Flying - I can't do it in my dreams, unless you count gliding about 2 inches above the grass. School - I sometimes dream that I messed up in my job and got sent back to kindergarten. For some reason, the most embarrassing part is that I can't fit into those really small chairs anymore. Work - I don'...

Do you ever feel as if time is moving faster or slower than usual? I've felt that on bad days, time seems to go faster and the world more chaotic. Yeah. You'd think it would be the slow days that are most miserable, but it's actually the fast days for me. Feels like life is slipping away faster tha...

And for those who are older than me what would you do different if you could turn back to my age? I would try to realize sooner that "potential", at least the way you are using it here, isn't real. That's just other people's ideas of what they want you to be. Holding yourself up to a bunc...

Lately I've discovered that caffeine appears to help with some of the more adverse symptoms of my autism. Some days when I'm at work I'm just extremely irritable and grumpy and I don't entirely know why. Could be subtle sensory influence, could be a sign of autistic burnout, could be something not ...

I was always wondering and it's not that serious, but how come despite intelligence, social skills and keeping customers coming back or forming a bond are usually a must?. The job was at a Petco, he told me I was a nice guy but too quiet, serious, withdrawn, how come we are hardly giving a chance i...

For me it's about texture as well as taste. I hate smushy flavorless food like casseroles, overcooked green beans, or a lot of soups. I need it to be crunchy or at least have some texture variety. Otherwise it feels like I'm eating someone else's barf.
