Doing drugs isn't unhealthy ... Our glorious leaders ... and a concomitant loss of power which is really the problem. Really?!
Call me cynical:(;). |

Nope, not moralizing but offering an (healthy/healthier) alternative to what they are seeking with drug usage. Doing drugs isn't unhealthy. Doctors prescribe them all the time. I'm taking Concerta with nothing but good effects. If someone takes drugs the provenance of which is unknown, e.g. cocaine...

I am also biased towards the literary talents and prefer reading and learning languages to maths. However, I am male which may be an advantage when it comes to visual/spacial memory, etc. My mother kept telling me that being a writer was a very fickle career and, no matter how good I was, there woul...

. . . You can see another GP if you're out of town as a visitor but that's it. Only other option is to change GPs which is no guarantee that the new one will be any better and might result in you being seen as a "problem" patient. Gosh, that's kind of a lousy system and I have high hopes for Britis...

. . . I was taking Ropinirole but this made it worse so I stopped, but my GP is useless and insists there's no other medications I can try - I know this isn't true, I'd switch GP's but I'm worried it may complicate or slow down my referral for my AS diagnosis, which is more important. There might b...

Have you tried taking magnesium, e.g. magnesium citrate? I know someone with RLS who did and it helped a lot. Read up on magnesium deficiency. Yeah, I've tried but it doesn't really help when it gets bad. I started taking magnesium and calcium when I started getting symptoms...well, when I started ...

I had the grand mal seizures too. Very common in people with ADHD. |

I have a severe vitamin B12 deficiency too and I have had numbness in my hands and feet. This is potentially indicative of nerve damage. Have your serum B12 levels checked. It's a simple blood test and should be fairly cheap. If you explain about the numbness your doctor will(or rather should) arran...

It's funny but I've worn prescription sunglasses habitually since I was 12 or 13. I've always been sensitive to sunlight and now I guess I know why! I'm always getting comments about wearing them after the sun has gone behind clouds etc. Would be nice if some people would mind their own business, eh...

Hi Chelle, Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. PCT stands for Primary Care Trust. Your PCT is responsible for commissioning the health services you require from your local hospital. If the PCT does not have a particular specialisim that you require then it should refer you out-of-area to a ...

Don't mess about: write a letter of complaint to the Chief Executive of your PCT and copy it to your MP. Try and keep it short, i.e. ideally two pages but no more than three. Emphasise the detrimental effects Asperger's is having on your life and that you need specialist diagnosis and support. There...
