I just got my autism diagnosis a few weeks ago (also in the UK). I was diagnosed with ADHD about 8 years ago, which explained a lot, but seemed incomplete. Things such as inability to cope with change and meltdowns led me to look for an ASD diagnosis. I was already seeing IAPT for CBT and a course f...

Gold would look great too. I'm not sure about champagne or blush because the dress is a strong colour and I would personally put another strong colour with it. But that's just my opinion.

I would put a slightly dark red with that blue for a stunning colour contrast. Or you could match the blue, but that would be difficult. For the dress to stand out and not the shoes plain nude heels (we call them court shoes in UK but I think you call them pumps?) would be nice. If you google image ...

I have a diagnosis of ADHD and I'm not diagnosed AS but I think it likely. I didn't see the point in pursuing the AS diagnosis because it wouldn't change anything, however the ADHD medication has helped me. On the subject of ADHD and depression, I have found that Venlafaxine (anti depressant) seems ...

Although some of it is a bit much, I quite like flylady. She breaks things down into little chunks and suggests things like always clean your car out on Friday, stuff like that. www.flylady.net

Do you have a safe place, I find that knowing I have somewhere to retreat to helps. Also I have a virtual safe place in my head, I can close my eyes and take myself away to a quiet beach. I use this at the dentist for example.

I think that parents like to be reassured regularly that everything is ok with their child. So its a bit like when you check the oil level in a car, you tell them what you did, and if its all normal boring stuff then they think everything is ok. If everything isn't ok then they are giving you the ch...

I don't know if it applies in this situation, but I often get a bit hormonal and snappy with my partner just before and at the beginning of my period. I can't help it and I don't mean to be nasty or upset him. Maybe your wife was a bit snappy because of this and because she was in pain, and you didn...

Hello everyone. I am suffering badly from PMS. I am taking fluoxetine (prozac) for depression and ritalin for ADHD. The depression and ADHD are well controlled and I'm much better, except at that time of the month, when I completely lose the plot. I was using the patch, but have recently changed bac...

Most of the time I'm ok for enough of the day, but today my sensory thing is on extra PITA. I have some improvement from swapping to another bra but I'm getting fed up. Just wanted a moan really!

I'm going to start by saying I'm not a doctor, so anything I say is just my opinion from my experiences. It sounds like you have some symptoms that fit somewhere on the Autistic Spectrum. However these could also be the symptoms of the damage caused by the abuse you experienced in childhood. It coul...

I think its quite common with or even part of ADHD. I have trouble at times taking things in and processing stuff if its just listening, I'm much better with visuals and actually doing stuff.
