The last couple of days I've watched some YouTube videos of people reacting to movies for the first time. I enjoy these because I can vicariously experience seeing something I enjoy for the first time again. However these last few days. sad scenes have made me openly weep. I'm working on dropping my...

Ok, working on a germ of an idea for a story, and could use input/inspiration/poking holes in the logic: You've heard the quote about "perception is reality", and maybe you even ascribe to it. Many counter that perception is only our view of reality - a self-created illusion. And that this...

I didn't see any mentions of Fringe, so I'll add it to the list.

The final season is divisive - my wife hated it, I loved it.

Every 2-3 years, we drive to thd Alabama Gulf Coast for a week to reset our mindsets. I've often wondered how my life would be if I actually lived there? I doubt I'd be able to keep a career going, as I'd constantly be drawn to the beach to zen out. Maybe when I retire.

Why does one need to get high to have spiritual experiences? One does not need to get high. Just need to accept Jesus. One size does not fit all, considering how many different religions there are. Some are even centered on the use of psychedelics. But the intention of my question is DMT experience...

My current topic of fascination is DMT experiences. I have no experience with it, and considering the legality I doubt I will, but as a lapsed Catholic I find the experiences of meeting higher beings, plus the idea of being one with all, intriguing and, if I'm being honest, desirable. I'd love to he...

i assume you had to ask her out and pursue her, hit on her Actually, she pursued me. She saw me sing at karaoke and asked around about me. She then just sat by me for months at karaoke sessions, patiently waiting for me to figure out she was interested in me. She instinctively knew how to not scare...

My wife and I have been together for 19 years. Shd was offically diagnosed autistic just last year, and I was officially diagnosed just last month.

One of the things we both credit as being a good move early on was going to a therapist early in our marriage to learn to communicate better.

I have been acting since I was 5 years old (I'm 52 now). Nearly all on stage, but also the occasional movie, and often at our zoo's Halloween event in roles like Shrek, Gru, the Cowardly Lion, etc. Also a few writing and directing credits to my name. Partially due to my work schedule changing a coup...

I was officially diagnosed autistic Monday. I had my annual review today - done via videochat since my supervisors are in another state. It went incredibly well (as normal), and I got high praise and my full raise. But I didn't mention my diagnosis, although it was probably the perfect time to do so...

I joined way back in 2012 (according to last posts) just before getting an evaluation. I saw a lot of the traits for a low-needs resident of the spectrum, but the psychiatrist I saw then thought it more likely that I just had bad social anxiety. That's when my imposter syndrome kicked in hard and I ...

I agree with mikassyna - find someone to diagnose you. I obsessed on it for about a year before I did, and his observation was that I actually had a severe social anxiety. It put my mind at rest.

I was just diagnosed with social anxiety, and I'm not dyslexic. Like you, I cannot see numbers (or words for that matter) in my head. I work on the phone all day, and I'm always taking phone numbers, prices and credit cards. I always write them down as I'm hearing them, and repeat them back to make ...

Your GP seems to be open minded. Wait, was it a GP or a psychiatrist? Can GP's diagnose AS? In Australia not even a psychologist could officially diagnose me even though she had the qualifications. Actually, I skipped my GP and, on the advice of someone here on Wrong Planet, went to the local unive...
