If there was ever a drug that would help some people with AS it would be one that reduced the level of obsessive thoughts. Upsetting thoughts that often burn away is what makes my life painful, so that's what I'd like see tackling. Any ideas? Cannabis, though some people don't react to well to it a...

This was a very helpful and balanced reply. Thank you Callista. I honestly wouldn't recommend psych meds unless you have another disorder than just Asperger's. I mean, yes, Asperger's can be disabling; but it's a developmental disorder, not a mental illness--think about cerebral palsy or Down syndro...

One time when I was 14, I had a pen pal from New Zealand and she never responded back to me again. I think I said too much about myself like my past problems and me having AS (which I didn't know what is was then). I make that mistake too... I have too... and I did send it... several of them... but I finally realized I was just hurting myself. So, like yourself, I wrote them but didn'...

I am a writer by profession. I answer emails all day long. So, when my friends, family, or band members email me, I sometimes take the liberty to attempt to convey my emotions via return email without even thinking twice about it. This never works for me, and I have known it for many years now. Yet,...

Get diagnosed, get on medication, and do everything your therapist says. You cannot make any more decisions in life because you are not an expert The trick is in finding the right therapist. We have been to numerous therapists and received misdiagnosises each time. We even went to an SIU psychiatri...

I don't even know where to start. My 16-year-old daughter has Asperger's, and I probably have it too. I have always felt like I was on the wrong planet. I am very intellectual and have been highly successful in business, but I seem to cause drama and turn people off when I get "stuck" on something. ...
