| This is why I always watch DVDs with the subtitles turned on. I often hear speech clearly and yet the words don't sink into my brain, if that makes sense. I was calling it "audio dyslexia" before I found out that it had a name (CAPD) and that it's common for people with Asperger's. I have subtitles... |

| So I got my hearing checked recently, and my hearing was perfect. Yet for some reason, I never hear things right. | So I think in pictures, images, video, motion images (ie, movies), and so on. I recently found out that it is most common for Aspies and people on the spectrum to think in pictures. How is it that most people think? |

| It baffles lots of us. Search around for "small talk" topics and you'll find a lot. I thought small talk was different though. There is a purpose, or end goal, to small talk. I need to get to know you better so I can work better with your strengths and avoid your weaknesses, or something like that.... |

| Of course, whenever I did react with killer instinct, or what I thought it was, I went overboard. I either really hurt the opponent I was fighting, where people would gasp and say 'justjelliot, you took it too far' or would foul way too hard and get intentional fouls called. | When I was a kid, I made fun of another kid. My mother shamed me, and asked me to imagine what it would be like if I were the one being made fun of. This changed my life.
