I have- from the UK to Mallorca, Spain and to Germany. I don’t speak any languages other than English. The former was an organised study trip (I traveled by myself but was with fellow students, who I had not met before, for most of time I was awake). The latter was entirely by myself with only my, l...

Open-toed shoes are a safety hazard, especially in warehousing and machine-shop environments. Many of the jobs I have worked in have insisted on safety footwear (steel/composite tow cap)- however most aspects of clothing, including which safety shoes I ware, are up to me (as long as it was black). ...

It does not really bother me that much. The area where I live is mainly university students rather than families with children. I used to work in an shopping/entertainment/leisure complex but my work did not directly involve the customers so the only difference was how busy the car park and mall was...

Could you make sure that you never finish your wing early? Would it be possible to go stall/repeat a section if you are ahead of time (clean an area that you already have or take a lot of care on your last few rooms). I have worked what was (on paper) the same job for two different companies; one of...

In my experience (and i have done some soul-searching on this exact topic), making eye contact for me has the opposite meaning as it has for an NT. Making direct eye-contact is a sign of agression, or dominance at least, not something you'd do in a regular relationship. This is one of these complex...

I have developed crushes on girls that, when the crush fades, I wonder why I was attracted to them. I may still find them attractive but I am not able to say why I put them above others.

On the other hand I have been put off from girls due to physical factors such as excessive arm hair.

I find it a bit ironic that Campin_Cat is complaining about the colours of the forum when he keeps overriding the defaults. Campin_Cat's a she. Caught out by a user using a profile picture of the opposite gender (and the forum not giving the gender info). I should have used gender neutral language....

I think allowing users to change their font style, size and colour is a bad feature as this makes things more difficult for others to read. This will be a particular issue when (if) the forum software allows users to choose a custom theme for viewing the boards. The default posting colours could cha...

The sad thing is that the staff would probably be more productive if they had a half hour break in the day than if they were forced to keep working in a tired state.

If you are not being paid for the time then your employer should not dictate what you do during that time (assuming what you do does not render you unfit for work). Is there any government legislation regarding rest/meal breaks, do you have a trade union agreement that gives you compulsory time off?...

Try and tell the consultant what you want to change for you (and what things you find difficult and easy).

Autism/Aspergers is not a one-size-fits-all condition so any adaptations need to be fitted to you, not to a generalised set of rules.

I have met quite a few people involved in film making and most of them have other jobs to provide income (which they then spend on making films). There is an increasing move towards "microbudget" productions (which do not pay well/at all) so it is getting harder to make an income. Working ...

The go to new post buttons which have recently appear in the "show your posts" page take you to the top of the page with the most recent post, not the post itself.

The frontpage has "Register" and "Log in" buttons, however if I click through to the forums I am logged in. I'm not sure that is entirely accurate. It seems to be true that anyone entering the site, including visitors, can now switch between the forums and view them (with a coup...
