Forum: Love and Dating   Topic: What is the AS trait you have that people find sexy?

I don't know if this is really an aspie trait but I have had some girls tell me I gave a hypnotizing gaze when I look them in the eyes. Same thing here pretty much. It didn't use to happen much since I was bad at eye-contact and looked away from people, but since I forced myself to look people in t...

What exactly made them fall apart? Any specific horrible downfall with him, or did they just not work?
I'd think to try it, and remember your friend at one point thought he was worth taking a chance on.

You combine the d's (2d - 4d to get -2d) and combine the numbers (5 - 9 to get -4), so that expression simplified is -2d - 4.

That's interesting that they found an actual and specific difference in brain signals, but other than using the signals themselves as a sort of diagnosing tool, or working more research from there, it doesn't do much other than to reinforce that autistics have a different theory of mind. I also thin...

Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: Is AS/Autims a direct cause of OCD?

There are a lot of people that have OCD without being autistic, so that can't be right (the autism causing OCD).

I just figure that with many people autism includes some symptoms of OCD, especially when stressed.

I agree on wondering why exactly someone would spend money to diagnose themselves if they have already came to their own logical conclusion. But on ignoring it - you can't help a problem by doing that. For example, when I learned about Asperger's Syndrome, I realized there was a name for many of my ...

For me, it takes a good amount of work to try to appear normal (holding up a conversation, picking up body language, etc.) and when I'm tired I often am not able to do that work as much, just like how doing homework when you're tired is harder / takes longer. You don't think as fast usually when you...

- Figure out what happened. - Fly a helicopter/plane. - Catalogue and summarize a history of humanity left for whatever alien or recently evolved race finds it. - Try to clone humans. - Above doesn't work? Screw it, there's no hope for humanity. Figure out a way to go out with a bang. - So far my id...

So, Batlady, let me tell you about my collection of fruit stickers. Just last week I bought some kiwi fruits. Usually, the stickers on the kiwi fruits have the number 4171. But, this time, the number was 4177. I was astonished, but I did not say anything to the grocer, or to the cashier. I did pay ...

I don't think I'm sarcastic at all. Ever.

I think it partly comes from not knowing the proper response, and also not being able to judge the tone of a a conversation correctly.

Just wave it off as a joke - or say you aren't feeling good. Kinda funny, whenever I'm tired my friends joke I must be high or something. I was nearly asleep in one of my classes once (fell asleep later - thank god that teacher never notices - I think he's asleep half the time to) and leaned back in...
