| I use online exclusively (too shy to approach girls in person, mostly do to having no clue if we have anything in common or if they have any interest in me). So I can usually get dates when girls respond to my messages and it gets to that point. I've even had 4 in a week once. The problem is i rarel... |

30 m, Brooklyn, NY
I work in movies and am a huge movie and tv buff. Also love music, standup comedy, etc.
I don't drink and I'm not into sports.
Looking for someone I can relate to who shares similar interests and personality. |

| Social circles are incredibly hard to come by. Only recently (in the last year) have I made friends that actually know each other as well. Before that I've only had a friend here, a friend there, etc. But I find it so hard to relate to them, I never do much with them anyway. They bug me to do things... |

| I tend to discount people if I see they have things that make me feel they wouldn't be into me. My friend (VERY NT) calls this selfish. Do you guys tend to do this too? Like if I come across a girl who's very into sports, social, loves to travel, etc. I won't even bother cause its unlikely she'd put... |

Meaning it would be nice is there was speed dating where men got to sit around. Or a different format than most currently are. Its like going on 50 online-started dates in 1 night. |

| I LOVE physical contact, if I could, I would like to be holding an SO all day and night. What I tend to miss the most about being in a relationship is the touching. Not even sex as much, just the little things. Holding hands, suddenly going up to them for a hug, being playful, kissing, massages, etc... |

| Speed dating is terribly biased towards women. When women are the ones sitting there, while the men go around to each, the women tend to be much more picky about who they choose. So you have much less chance of one being into you, over the other guys. There was a study done that actually showed if m... |

| I'm a freelancer in the movie/tv industry. A few things: 1) It doesn't mean you always work on your own. I am hired by studios, I go there to work. The only thing different from being a staffer is you're not there as long. And many places pay you bi-weekly, just like any other job. 2) Networking is ... |

| All I know is a connection/spark to me, is having things in common and the ability to relate to someone. Having something in common and the ability to relate to someone is nice, it's a basis for friendship. You need something a bit more for' spark'. Spark for me is almost like, it creates an altere... |

I got a good one....
A friend of a friend wears a wedding ring. He's not married. Why then? Because he goes after women that want married men.
Its one of the sleaziest things I have ever heard anyone actually do. |

| I have a few big issues with first dates: What to talk about..... I have no problem talking in general and asking questions. But one thing I tend to do is purposely not go into topics I don't want to talk about. Things like sports, or travel, or outdoorsy things. I simply have no interest in this st... |

| This thread is exactly what I have been looking for to try and gain some insight! I too have been getting countless 'I felt no spark' responses. I've had very similar experiences as I_am_Kira. Girls that I thought we shared a ton in common... even things like food pickyness. And after the date, they... |
